Hi, mr mac I used a 50/50 mix of Clorox on a lot of rusty looking stains on lighter grey carpet in my 204c cabin. It took out all the stains and looks grt now. I used a small spray bottle and a plastic scrub brush. Do it a couple of times. Open windows on warm day and let it air out .

the Garmin link that you sent me from Garmin doesn't seem to mention the 3000 series at all for the 17x but the link I sent you it explains a installation for a 3000 series
