Circling back to this, I went with Lectrotabs. Installing the tabs was straightforward, wiring was a breeze. Operation is easy with the touchpad and they make a substantial difference with a Honda 150 hanging off the transom....

Is your 943 flush mounted or on the bail? If it's on the bail would you mind measuring the total height from bottom of bail to top of unit?
I want to put one on my 180 but the sloping windshield may prevent that.

My running lights weren't turning on, I traced the problem to a faulty 10A dashboard circuit breaker which was only putting 6VDC through. This is a small rubber button next to the switch on the dash. I tried removing the dash but the 6 mounting screws have frozen, the first one snapped right...
That's what mine looks like also, an unfinished, angled, end with glass fibers protruding. Hard to get a plug to seal.
Also, if this line was plugged, how would you know if the tank is leaking? It's a sealed compartment.
Hence the manual's recommendation...
"The access plates on your fuel tank lids keep the fuel compartments sealed. Over time, the opening and closing of these plates causes the o-rings to wear-out. Replace these o-rings as necessary to maintain the watertight integrity of the plates."

Well, $26 each on Amazon didn't do it for me...but an $8, 12"x12" piece of 1/8" rubber did...enough for 16 pieces
First one took about 25 min., 10 min. each after that.
Well maybe a destroyer wheel with and Edison in the future, right now I have other things to spend that cash on.
This looks like it will be a decent work around, I pulled my existing wheel and a hole drilled in one of the spokes will mount the knob.
One more question, when I puled the wheel...
I know he didn't tint further, used it as it came.
