Im debating between two 9s, or 1 12" screen....Your comment has me leaning to the single 12. My concern is the screen height on the 9s being so similar to the 7's. I feel like I want the height more than the width, allowing to see farther ahead on the chart and more detail in the water column...

I have seen people make mount the screen on a fixed panel to one side, leave the other side of the cubby cover on a hinge to maintain that storage space.

Both switches where toast, I did the spreader o. Already. The boots I got are garbage so I will look into better boots. Left them off for now. Will order the SPDT switch for the courtesy light. Thanks for the help!!!

I had no trouble finding the push button switch for the spreader lights (mounted in the dome light, 2 wires). But had no luck locating the switch for the dome light,. Needs a 3 wire switch....anyone know where to find one?

Nah, 41 inches is plenty of torque wrench for 430 ftbs. Its not a suprise its a 1" thread and 430 is a pretty standard torque for a grade 5 1" bolt. Curious to see how your comparison goes .

Thats been the plan so far...it tows great and i dont plan on any cross country tours. Need to dial in the tongue weight though. When i picked it up there was none...scary, no sure how the last guy enjoyed that. I moved the jack post forward a few inches and back down the nearest boat launch...

Nice to see your fittings are trimmed off. I just pulled mine to get new hoses and the deck drain fitting is almost 3 inches long! This meant that the elbow was lower than the thruhull at the back! I'll be trimming things up to look like this photo. Still going to look get the newer elbows that...

This is my plan, the bottom edge with the latch is removable in my 288. Helps open up the hole a bit. Tentative plan is t pick up a Garmin 942xs, no Sidevu but fits with the least amount of work. Still debating jumping up to a 7610/12 or similar. Havent talked myself into rebuilding the entire dash.

I know the 228s that came with two strokes and now have 4 strokes have the scupper in the water enough that sometimes it comes up onto the deck. Mines wet if i stand in the corners.

Good news, raised engine up one hole and steering feels much better. Its still heavy to to the port, light to starboard so i should tweak my anode skeg. Still some spray off the leg if trimmed down, but only when nearly bottomed out. Seems to take slightly less RPM for each MPH once on plane. I...
