Wrong engine. The boat probably had a 260 Mercruiser in it.

I think the curve of the transom makes the engines toe out when raised.

Smart moves. I changed all my thru hulls. Took a couple of days and my arms will never look the same.

There really shouldn't be any stress on the lower bolts. The only way I can see this happening is over tightening.

I think someone went a little crazy with the impact gun. I would put on the transom savers, bedded, and call it a day.

Russ, the update is too big for the internal memory of the unit. I keep my sd card plugged in and it works fine. There are many other units out there that also require cards to function so it's not all that un-common.

You first have to format the SD card in the Garmin machine. Then load the charts and the machine will recognize them. The SD card will only work in your machine as it is coded by the formatting.

Why put new ones? When I recored my aft hatch on my Seafarer it had the rubber strips. I just cleaned them and the flange with solvent and glued them back. Looked like new.

I have a bracket so my live well is in the transom. The box with the plex cover that everyone loses is meant for drinks. My starboard one is a huge fishbox pretty well insulated. The pump has to be running all the time to keep live bait.
