    New GW decals

The decals look good. Now to finish the job, rub your rub-rails with a rag with acetone on it (wear nitrile gloves). Then apply some 303 or other rubber protectant and you'll really be looking good.

    268 Islander info needed

I have a 2002 Islander. They are really a nice all-around versatile boat. No one makes anything like it anymore. Good luck finding another trailer-able walkaround with a cabin and a head. Everything now is dual console and center console.

check these out - new decals

You have done a great job detailing your boat. That gelcoat looks excellent. I have an older Islander and found some of the older pendant decals on Ebay and applied them this spring. My original decals were shot and were really bringing the boat down.

Tips for Replacing Rear Bilge Pump in GW Islander

I took a better look at this issue yesterday. There are two round access ports above the pump. However, the outboard really gets in the way. You can reach down one port at a time and reach the pump, but you cannot see what you are doing. I cannot see how the pump is attached to the boat. I...

Tips for Replacing Rear Bilge Pump in GW Islander

I was going through my final check out before launching my 2002 Islander and discovered that the hose connection on my aft bilge pump has broken off. Therefore, I need to replace the pump. Access to the pump location looks very difficult. I'm looking for tips to access and replace this pump...

    2005 282 Sailfish Moisture Issue

Does this balsa provide any structural integrity of was it just there as form-work during construction? Sorry, if this is a stupid question. I'm a civil engineer and not a boat builder, but when constructing buildings and bridges, components are sometimes used and needed during the...

    Bildge pump fuse

The boat is currently shrink wrapped for the winter, so it's difficult for me to get in for a photo, but this description by wrxhoon is spot on. There are waterproof fuse holders screwed in next to the battery switch.

The fuse to my front bilge pump is located in my rear battery compartment. It took me a little while to locate it.
