Re: New Grady White Deck Cap Delamination
I have communicated with them several times regarding the issue - most recently today. They have reassured me and I have confidence it will be dealt with in short order with no long term issue whatsoever. I put 250s on the back. So far I'm really happy...
Re: New Grady White Deck Cap Delamination
Thanks for the responses. I'm keeping the faith. A new GW has been my dream boats for YEARS and if this issue can be resolved permanently (like the Parker) I'm going to be a happy camper for a very long time. Aside from this issue and a couple cosmetic...
Re: New Grady White Deck Cap Delamination
I ordered from factory via local dealer. Local dealer is awesome. They are working with me to solve the problem which is disconcerting to say the least (at least to me). Never imagined I'd be having this issue with a brand new high end / expensive boat...
I purchased a 2017 Freedom 275 via factory order and have had it for several weeks. The deck cap "pops" between the port and starboard consoles in several areas and is clearly delaminated. I'm not sure if the deck cap is single skin or sandwich but I suspect the former. In any event the...
Fantastic. You will love the boat. Working on hour 6 on mine and just took it for an enjoyable spin. I am sure GW will come through with the solutions for mine and that they will be remedied. I would really like to see a pic of your seat cover upon completion if you wouldn't object (also...
Congrats on the new GW F275. I recently took delivery of my new F275 and purchased the front / side curtains from GW and yes they cost a pretty penny. I had T-top boat covers in N. Charleston make me a boat cover and just retrieved it as well though haven't placed it on the boat yet. Are you...
My 2017 275 arrived. Broke it in over the July 4th weekend and was very happy with the ride. I went with twin 250's and omitted the beverage center behind the helm seat to gain more cockpit room. I plan on putting a large YETI there for fishing / cruising when needed. I did not find listing to...
Appreciate the encouraging words. Have been reading more about the thru hulls past couple days and I suspect I'll end up going that route. Have to make my mind up soon anyway as boat should be arriving in few weeks.
My new Freedom 275 should be arriving soon from the factory and I need to decide on a chart plotter and transducer, etc. I am considering the Garmin 7612 XSV and the Simrad NSS Evo 12 though I am leaning towards the former because I have heard they are more intuitive for amateur users such as...
They seemed surprised that I suggested that listing was a potential issue. They also said that I shouldn't have to use trim tabs unless there was significant weight discrepancy from port to starboard. I described an experience on my friend's new 2016 275 where I found myself using the trim tabs...
Went to the factory today-top shelf all the way. Compared a 255, 275, and 285 Freedom and pulled the trigger on the 275 via my dealer. 275 seemed to suit my needs the best. Hope to have it sometime in June to enjoy for the better part of the summer.
Going to the plant in GV to check them out (255 vs 275 vs 285). Hopefully I can hear their response with regards to the "listing" noted with the 275. I'd like to pull the trigger on the 275 but I'm not sure I'll be happy if I have to rely on frequent use of the trim tabs just to keep it steady...
Thank you for the responses. They were very helpful. I have wondered about a trailer permit in the past as the boat I just shed had a 9 foot beam. I have contacted the South Carolina DMV with regards to the issue before but I have never received a definitive answer. I wouldn't be surprised if...
New to forum and not forum savy but will give it a go. Struggling between the 275 and 285. Will primarily use on large lake but on occasion will trailer to coast to go offshore. Most of time will cruise the lake with famil and friends though. Have read about the 275 listing to port. Is this an...
