Re: Found! Saltwater Sportsman Grady-White 265 Express Revie
Hopefully ours which we've named "Wahoo" will be in the water by Saturday as long as the weather holds up. Docks are finally in here in Ohio and I am ready to get out on the lake and tear it up!!!

I'm trying to figure out how to get this pic onto this thread, if it doesn't make it over just check out the gallery under Express...I'm trying to get the pic of my helm with the hatch mounted over the bathroom
Enzoforza, I just picked up a Edson 16" Almag Wheel as well as the comfort grip power knob. I am going to do a clamp mount vs. drilled for the power knob so if I decide I want to move the knob later I can with ease and not be stuck with the location. Edson are in my opinion (and many others as...
Well, after much consideration and searching I decided to go with the Edson Satin Finish Almag wheel, also picked up a Comfort Grip Power Knob...I will post pics once everthing arrives and it installed.
I have a 13" Edson wheel I was considering to replace the standard wheel on our 265 Express...would there be any problems/issues associated with switching to a smaller wheel?
Thanks,
Lee
A few days back I posted to see if anyone had a link to the October 1, 1999 Saltwater Sportsman review of the 265 Express. Since I was a young boy I have read this magazine and always appreciated the well written articles, tips and enthusiasm for saltwater anglers. As I'm sure many of you know...
I too just bought a 2000 265 Express here on Lake Erie. The previous owner had a Port Hatch put in over the bathroom. It looks like a smaller version of the hatch that is on the bow over the v-berth. I do not believe it was an original option as I have never seen one on another 265. The...

max,
Thanks for the link, this is a very solid review. I also wrote to the editors at Saltwater Sportsman to see if they have any links or pdf's of their Oct. 1, 1999 mag. I'll let you know if I hear of anything.
Thanks,
Lee
Thanks for the input on how to trim this boat. We had it out on Lake Erie on Jan 31st earlier this year. We loved the ride and I did notice when I took the helm that it was a bit sensitive compared to other boats I have driven but was nontheless impressed with the ride. I am sure once I get...
Does anyone have a link to a professional review of this boat besides the one that Sportfishing Magazine did? This is my first Grady and I'm totally psyched about dropping her in the water in the spring on Lake Erie! My model is a year 2000 with twin Yamaha 225's (original engines). Also any...
