I have two standard GFI receptacles and two plugs ins like those in cars.

Found the problem. I cant have the main batteries turned on when hooked up to shore power. That causes the reverse polarity light to come on, though I'm not sure why.

PS. The old dock at a 30 amp receptacle. This one has a a regular plug and I'm using an adaptor.

Thank for the reply. An electrician said the dock power is correct and yes, there is a functioning GFI. When the light comes on the voltage meter drops to zero.

It's cold here on Amelia Island (40 degrees;). How long does it take the water heater to work? I powered it up today and I know it came on but the water was cold even after 10 minutes. When I pump the handle on the head ( seacock open) it won't suck water in. But I can pump it out in dry flush...

Thanx for the replies, guys. I talked to the mechcanic again and he confirmed they used the muffs. He said he thought an airblock triggered the overheat warning and not to worry. Both the impellers are brand new. I'm going to get that Y adapter.....is it important to flush using both the hose...
