I had my marina mechanics install a port lower unit (got it at hardcore marine for $1500). The Marlin was on the rack and when I asked him if he sea trailed it he said he ran the engine on the flush hose to check the job. The Yamaha 250 manual says to never run the engine off the hose, not...
If I leave my battery charger on shore power and leave the refrigerator running continously off the utility battery on DC will I be discharging the batteries or will there be no drain?
Thanx
The dock slip I'm soon going to only has a standard 110 outlet. Where can I find a plug that that has the right ends to hook into the Grady shore power? And how many amps does 110 put out? I want to run the battery charger at least, and more if able.
On one om 250's I'm not getting much water coming out the blow hole. Thought it might be an impeller going bad but even when I'm flushing the motor not much comes out. It will spurt out a while then stop and kind of fill up and squirt some more. I cleaned out the tube with some weed whacker line...
Gents, any ideas for freeing up some neglected Top Gun outriggers? I've been soaking them with every kind of lube and managed to get them to go up and down, but I can't free them up to turn. I'm afraid if I put I pipe wrench on them they'll snap.
I have a newer Marlin 30 and run her in seas like you describe. First of all, the other boats that seem to be riding better could just be an illusion. They are probably getting pounded also. On a smooth day wide open at 5400 rpm I can get to 40 mph on the old 2 stroke yamis. The best econ speed...
I'm trouble shooting my Marlins AC system too. The water pump seems to pushing enough water and the fan spins. But the compressor is humming and doesn't seem to be running. The tech guys says to replace it, but I'm wondering if it's worth adding some freon. Opinions?
While on this subject, does anyone know where I can order an AC adaptor for my 96 Marlin? The two plugs on either side by the shore power receptacle are 4 hole.. Thanx
