Just purchased a S1000 autopilot for 265 Express - Looking find out if anyone has this ap in there 265 and where they mounted the pump and head unit? The hoses they give are only about 18" long and I dont know how much room I have that close to the helm! Thanks Tim

I think there is a bleed/back flow preventer on one side of the pump - if there are NO other leaks, the water could be bleeding back thru the pump with pressure in the system being lost. Tim

If I keep my reserve tank low (120 gallons max) my scuppers are quite a bit higher also - Tim

If you purchase a "mar10" rated Lexan (polycarb) it is scratch resistant. The one STRONG concern that have with not using glass is material compatability. Some of the polycarb's will become glazed if hit with aggressive cleaners - the type you may use to clean the deck and bow. Tim

While I am disapointed to hear that the market is in upper 30's for this boat - I can honestly tell you that it is just an awesome boat - Twin 200 HPDI's are perfect - I run my 265 with HPDI's in all different scenarios and this motors are just amazing! Jump on that deal and dont look back! Tim

One tip that I do is once I clean the fish box - rinse as good as possible and I actually leave the box open for a day or two - This allows everything to dry out - Hit it with a quick cleaning next time at the boat - stays nice and clean and my dock neighbors appreciate this! Tim

It is worth mentioning that some might find it uncomfortable with canvas down - my old boat cruised at 24mph and had a higher windshield - once the canvas came off it never went back on - The 265 goes to fast and the windshield is too low - canvas stays on all of the time - Tim

The head has a vent that comes out on the starboard side of the helm. My wife and I discussed the "no windows" quite a bit, and it was almost a deal breaker - we had windows in our 25'er and thought we couldnt live without them - Well let me tell you - after the first season we were LOVING...
