I too visited the Pursuit site and from what I read about "cabin leak " it's a good thing they don't use wood in their boats. :)

My take on this is that when you have the best product others will compare there product to the best. You don't hear Pursuit comparing their boats to wellcraft. There are several great boats and Grady White is one of them. If I didn't like mine I'd buy a different boat. I'm sticking with Grady.

Penetrol is made for wood but also brings out the old simulated wood grain plastic. Be careful and don't pile the rags you use because they could ignite and start a fire.

Paint section of Home Depot has it and a lot less the West marine.

I broke a clip on mine and repaired by putting silicone on the front and back of the broken clip at the base. Worked for me so for good measure I siliconed around the base of the other two clips. I still try to be careful when taking the cap off.

Thanks journeyman I trailer my voyager and have a couple of chips in the gelcoat. I think on steep ramps I may be touching the cross member. Myself like most other grady owners want everything to be perfect or so close that you can't tell the difference.

Has anyone used a keel guard on their Grady? Is there any pros and cons for putting one on?

When trolling I watch speed more than RPM 6 - 9 MPH and so far had good luck with the Johnson and the fish. Fuel use is another thing. Pull up to the pump fill up with the plastic cry a little. It only hurts once a month.
