I repowered my 273 chase with 250 zukes...real happy...200 would not be enough.

I have had a 273 Chase for 18 years, which I believe is the same boat but not sure..yours may be a little underpowered but will take more than you can... I fish 70 miles offshore out of Savannah and have 2300 hours on the boat doing that...I do have wings to help when the going get's rough but...

I have no intention of using additive for 210 gallons of fuel......I used 87 octane ethanol in my 2002 F225 for 15 years and 2000 hours.. Never had 1 issue and sometimes I have layups of 6 months or longer...something is generally fishy in this space... As noted, 2 strokes is a different...

I have a 2002 273 Chase, owned it since new..2100 hours offshore and on second set of motors...very balanced boat, not a go fast boat but comfortable and very sea worthy, also raises fish, had a Blue on two weeks ago...only thing I did not like was wiring quality....zero stress cracks after...

Sure miss those days on Lake Erie...however, not digging just having to troll...casting those Erie Dearies were the best!! I just troll for the big stuff now.

I travel 70 miles offshore and will not have a boat without it...I installed a TR-1 12 years ago and still have it...it was the first unit that did not require rudder feedback and is frankly flawless. Garmin bought them and improved it so I will upgrade to that unit maybe before next years...

Yea, Zukes is probably the best fit for Grady since they have so much torque...love my DF250's....

Hi, Mine is fully welded and you should be able to get the parts easily and install...call Grady on that....the whole yamaha thing is certainly interesting...as noted I ran mine for 16 years and 1900 hours with no issues....a few things about the boat.. 1. not a go fast boat...but will run 50...

Hi, Agree with Smoky on the motors....I had 2002 F225's and threw a rod at 1900 hours in 2018....repowered with 250 Zukes. I never had corrosion issues...flush the motor tilted all the way up. 1. For some reason I am not a Taco man...Rupp is the standard and I have Top Guns...I can call them...

I have a 273 Chase...They come with Rupp and I love them..18 years and 2200 offshore hours.

I just used Rustoleum.....I have been doing quite a bit of offshore fishing and had to do a little touch up but I am ok with that...I keep the boat on a trailer in a boat shed and it is never in the water more than a couple of days... r

I think there are some tools to test water intrusion...at first blush does not look awful unless water is coming through but getting that test will help the most...I saw you pose on THT so they will wear you out over there:)
