I love my boat, but the engines are 20 years old, they work great, but I'd like more power. What are your thoughts on doing that and going with twin 200HP vs 250HP Yamaha 4-strokes? Using Gateway Marina in NJ for the job.

I repowered my 273 chase with 250 zukes...real happy...200 would not be enough.

My uncle repowered his 2000 263 with 200 Zuke's. Perfect match for the boat. He lives in Panama and runs charters. His typical run's are in the 80 mile range out to the humps and hanibal bank. Motors haven't skipped a beat and pushes his boat without any issues or hesitation.

Interesting, the dimensions on the 263 and 273 are the same but the 273 is quite a bit heavier...weird...maybe someone knows something about that...
