    SWITCH LABELS

I hate to keep plugging this dealer (I have no affiliation) but I was looking for lables for my switches (the long ovals) and saw they have the early round ones. Somers Point Marina on the web and in New Jersey. Great people.

    1994 20 Ft. cabin light

Can you post a picture? Someone may be able to find one at their local Grady dealer. As I stated in another post I have found many obsolete parts at a Grady dealer in New Jersey. Somers Point Marina is the name. They are on the Web and they ship. Pictures tell a thousand words.

    Bennet Trim Tab Anode Kits

Catch22- It all depends on the installation. In your case you are able to mount the zincs to the top of the tabs but there are different configurations for mounting the tabs. For instance, my tabs are mounted in "pockets" under the hull so the zinc on top method would not work. It would stop the...

    Bennet Trim Tab Anode Kits

For what it's worth, Bennet owner's manual states "if the boat is to be kept in saltwater anodes must be installed". Having said that, I have Bennets on my other boat and there are no anodes installed. It was kept in the water from May thru Nov and I never had a problem. For that price I figured...

    Replacement Deck Drains & Hose

I replaced both my floor drains on the starboard side. I bought them at Somer's Point Marina in New Jersey. I went back with plastic because I am crazy about trying to stay OEM and since the port side ones were ok I wanted them to match. The originals used a straight plastic countersunk drain...

    Power plants

Well I think I figured out what the problem is. I took the boat out this Saturday and the port engine was rough at idle. After finally getting it to stop stalling I took it out for a run to blow out any carbon. The engine ran flawless above idle. After running for about 30 minutes it was good to...

    Power plants

Oh yeh, I keep forgetting that. I have "rented" many tools from them while I was restoring my '68 Firebird 400. Good deal, thanks!

    Power plants

Bob, I didn't get to that yet. Last night I started doing ohm tests on the air and fuel injectors. I will get to the coil packs tonight. Thanks everyone your your help. Keep them coming!

Since I don"t have the gauge set, can they be check seperately? I have a pressure gauge I can adapt to fit the schrader valve.

    Power plants

Funny you should say that. I tried but either my gauge is bad or I am doing something wrong. Couldn't get any reading on the gauge. Removed all plugs, opened the butterfly as per the manual but still got no reading. I checked the shrader valve inline with the gauge but still no reading. I feel...

    Power plants

Last week I tested the thermostates on both engines. They began to open at the correct temp and fully opened so I don't think that is the problem. What kind of equipment do you need to check air and fuel pressure besides gauges? When I removed the throttle body duct the butterfly had a film of...

    Bennet Trim Tab Anode Kits

I just installed them on my tabs. The kit comes with longer bolts that are installed through the anodes, tabs, and into the cylinder brackets.

    Power plants

Hey folks, I may be the minority here but how many folks are running engines other than Yamahas? I have twin Optis on my Chase and I am having a problem with the port engine fouling the LH bank of spark plugs. I have cleaned and reinstalled them twice but they are continuing to foul. Could it be...

    Toe rails

Hey folks does anyone know what material the toe rails are made from and if it can be glued? Both of mine have the corners broken off and I would like to glue them back on. I thought it was starboard but it has a gloss to it. I have tried a couple adhesives but can't get it to hold. The breaks...

    Gunnel Rod Holders

Couple bucks for screw, larger fender washer and locking nut times three. But if you want to save some cash you can soak the hardware in vinegar over night and they will look brand new with some wax in most cases. I rarely change hardware after I soak it in vinegar. It works on anything stainless.

    Gunnel Rod Holders

All the above. There were pitted and scratched pretty bad. I asked the owner of the platers how the would come out. He told me that the acid bath would neutralize the corrosion and prepare them for the copper plating. The heavy copper plating fills in all the scratches and pits. Next they buff...

    Gunnel Rod Holders

I thought about it as well but it took so long the get them back I just wanted to be done with them. Also the installation was a pain as I had to remove the "wings" under the gunnels and reseal everything. I'm sure yours will turn out great. In this economy businesses want return customers and...

    Flush mounting electronics

Excellent guys, thanks for the tips. We do a lot of installations with Garmin products on our helicopters so I will be fabricating the faceplate and wiring the electronics. I am hoping to do the fabrication through the summer at home on the bench so come next winter I can just modify the console...

    Gunnel Rod Holders

I received them back like that. I haven't put any polish on them yet either. The photo quality isn't that great as I took the photo with my phone. I will try some more photos tonight. I didn't realize my setting was too high so I couldn't load the other photos I took.
