Anybody know where I can find a couple of the little black screw on knobs for the seacock levers? I’ve got two rolling around my bilge somewhere and don’t feel like pulling deck plates to look for them.

I have a second station topside on my Marlin. Motors will only start/run if the keys at the main helm are turned to the run position. This makes sense to me as I do not have engine performance monitoring gauges at the tower helm and would not be able to get warning alarms if the main helm...

If it’s an either/or decision, I highly recommend an EPIRB. It has a longer battery life, floats upright (a PLB will float, but not necessarily upright as it should to transmit effectively), and information about your boat will be known to rescuers that may be important. The price difference...

These are the cushions we had reupholstered. The foam cushions themselves were in great shape. To save a little time and money, we reused the underside upholstery pieces which were also in great shape. We had dark brown piping done to match the existing backrest upholstery.

We replaced the cloth with marine vinyl. It’s so humid here year round it’s much easier to keep them clean. Also, we reused the bottom pieces for each cushion. But I agree that we got a great deal at $500. They look great.

Have you considered reupholstery? I just had all cabin (v-berth and midship berth) cushions reupholstered and the snaps replaced on all five outside cushions for $500.

Isn’t there a spring loaded locking pin that engages when the latch is closed?

I had all the cabin cushions reupholstered nicely in quality marine vinyl with accent piping for $500 in Tampa just a couple of months ago. The upholsterer even replaced about half of the snaps on all the exterior cushions for free. My wife much prefers the new upholstery because she didn’t like...

If you think the smell might be coming up from the holding tank, try West Marine’s ExterminOdor. It’s inexpensive and easy to use.

Thanks for the responses. There are a few products out there now and I ultimately went with FlexDek. I’ll post pictures in a s few weeks when it’s finally installed in case anyone is Interested in my solution.
