following up on this. Skunk was right. it was an over flowing VST. i ended up getting both VSTs rebuilt over the summer.

update - no issues over last season. ran through almost 400 gallons of fuel and had a couple of rough rides.

my signature is actually before the "refresh". i should add that i removed the OE stripe and replaced that with the current style stripe

they really made a big visual impact. between that and a new stripe, the boat looks much newer. next up will be dropping the bow rail and that will complete my visual updating project

im not sure, but i think you need to have newer power. even so, hydraulic steering shouldnt be stiff or tough. have you looked into whats wrong with your current set up?
