New-to-me 2005 tournament 205 companies that made each part

True, people graduate over time. But this is still the wrong style of boat to get serious about that stuff. Plus, a pylon in this style boat is actually higher than what would be considered ideal. A true ski boat would have a lower height. But, in the end, it's really splitting hairs here...

New-to-me 2005 tournament 205 companies that made each part

NONE of the boats on this forum are anywhere NEAR being in the same league as serious ski boats, though. It's an apples to oranges comparison. The reason for the pole in the middle of those boats is so a serious skier doesn't pull the boat going through the slalom course. It's a TOTALLY...

New-to-me 2005 tournament 205 companies that made each part

Matt, the Tubo Swing runs rings around a ski pole in terms of strength and there is no jerkiness - I'm not sure why one would think that. It's plenty high enough, too. The tow mount on stern drive boats is lower than the TS and the rope doesn't drag with those (other than really small ones...

2021 Freedom 235 Cup holder replacement

How much clearance is there on the underside of the transom and what are the dimensions of the unit? What is the cut-out hole size needed vs the existing hole? Those answers are super easy to figure out and once you do that, you'll know if it will fit.

    330 battery charger wiring

Yes, it is a possibility. Hence one of the original quesitons I posed.

    Livewell and Washdown Pump

Well, 12V, obviously :) Buy the highest GPM your budget can afford. That's about all there is to it. It's just a thing that pumps water.

89 25.5 Sailfish need understanding how to operate the old school head n holding tank

What type of system/holding tank do you have? Just a porta-potti? An actual holding tank? Regardless, first thing to check is the vent. If air can't go in, effluent can't go out.

    330 battery charger wiring

As we sort of mentioned, it really doesn't matter what was done "X" number of years ago. All that matters is what's done now. Work with what you ACTUALLY have - and that's what we need to know, as well. Or, look in your manual if you really want to look at that. But, again, all that matters...

Drain Plug Hole - Exposed Wood

At a quarter century old, now... if the wood feels fine, I would just leave it. IF you felt compelled to do something, first make double sure it's completely dry. I wouldn't be a fan of using a sealant (5200, etc) just because I wouldn't completely trust it to work perfectly or not start to...

    330 battery charger wiring

Is this a new problem for you? What does "too fast" mean? Have you load tested the batteries? However, as stated above, there's really no way for us to tell you. If this is something you want to DIY, then you need to be at least somewhat comfortable with electrical work, to start with...

    Freedom 21 occasional overnighter

Absolutely - go for it! I've done it on a 21' Sea Ray which is basically the same thing for what we're talking about. We folded the back-to-back seats down to sleep on - not too bad. Granted, we were in our early 20's at the time so back issues weren't, well, an issue! We just snapped the...

    Freedom 307 Bilge

    Freedom 307 Bilge

I don't know your boat... and someone will likely respond back to help better... But do you also have a forward bilge where there IS pump... and is the center bilge supposed to drain there but the drain hole between the two is currently plugged? Otherwise, installing a bilge pump might be in...

    Lost my gas cap today...

No, he decided a cap was really an unnecessary item on a boat and only serves to make filling up a longer process. Besides, not using a cap lessens the chance of losing the cap :) :) :) I take it you didn't read through the thread? :)

Freedom 225 Floor Access Panels 2014 boat.

A little side tip... bury some heavy fishing line or something like mason line. Next time you pull the hatch to check the tank, remember which corner you left the two ends in... dig them out and pull - it will slice through caulk. Speaking of that... when WAS the last time you checked the fuel...

Look up how to videos. There's lot's of them. Yes, there's a cheap tool at HD (and pretty much everywhere) that works nicely. Or your finger.

    Lost my gas cap today...

Agree. Did the dealer at least get back to you with the part info (once the lady forwarded the info to the parts department)? I know dealerships are swamped and are still running with smaller departments and/or the people they can find to hire aren't really "the best". But one would think...

Freedom 225 Floor Access Panels 2014 boat.

They're definitely there - it's a pretty common thing. But sometimes the search tool on forums isn't so good. But there's nothing really new/special about this. It's kind of a "2+2" thing, you know? Remove, clean, re-caulk. That's pretty much it! :)

Freedom 225 Floor Access Panels 2014 boat.

There's actually tons of threads about this on this site if you want to search. But, in the end, there really isn't any magic - get all the old stuff out (multiple way to do this) and apply new. Applying caulk in the seam is no different than applying caulk around your bathtub at home. Push...
