    Freedom 255 DC

Do you know if the Pursuit is an 8'6" beam or did they make it wider? To me, a 25-26' boat with a beam of 9" or a couple of inches wider is ideal but there don't seem to be many being made any more. That 6 or 8 inched in width over the 8'6" sure adds a lot of usable room.

    Freedom 255 DC

Really good point on the new F300 until it is proven, which will leave quite a dilemma for a purchaser of a 4,000+ boat such as the new Fisherman 230 or the 25s (Advance, Journey, Freedom). It will run better with the 300 but the old 250 will be a safer choice.

    230 Fisherman vs. 257 Advance

I would have thought owners would be using at least a couple by now. What do you guys think as compared to the Advance? The Fisherman 230 seems to give up a lot to the Advance (no transom fishbox, fuel capacity, transom door, cockpit space and length). With the increase in deadrise and...

    30 Marlin vs 305 Express

Here are a couple. The seating setup is different, so that may affect your ride out and back. The Marlin's walkaround permits you to fight the fish around the boat, but the Express will have more interior cabin room.

    230 Fisherman vs. 257 Advance

I thought I would bring this back to the top. I am surprised no one has any thoughts on how these two compare. Other than a different hull with more deadrise, I am having a hard time seeing how the 23 improves on the 257 unless it is substantially cheaper.

    Freedom 255 DC

It does look nice, and I was glad to see the cockpit has 60 sq feet. Too bad there aren't any pictures with the hardtop and the boat being used in the ocean. I wonder what it will look like with twins. At 4500 lbs, I imagine you will want the Yamaha 300 to or twin 150s push it. Also, the...

    268/270 or 272/282

Better get the bigger cabin. If she isn't happy now, it likely won't get better if you find yourselves cramped for room. I would expect the ride of the Sailfish to be better given the substantial additional amount of weight.

    Considering a 232 gulfstream or a 282 sailfish

I wonder whether state and local budget shortfalls will cause more enforcement of the width regulation? By the way, are you guys using roller or bunk trailers?

    230 Fisherman vs. 257 Advance

What are your thoughts on the differences between the new Fisherman 230 and the existing Advance 257? They are both around the same weight. * Fisherman has 21.6 degree transom deadrise vs. standard 20 degrees of Advance, so it should ride better but the Advance has a longer waterline (I...

    what do you recomend....?

I use Petit Unepoxy, which is what my dealer recommends for our area. I suggest you ask your nearby Grady what they recommend. They may want to see what you have on the boat right now before making a recommendation.

    Tournament 205 hull change

The 20' hull received the SeaV-2 treatment in the 1992-94 time frame.

Took Delivery of my 2010 Tournament 275 yesterday

I wonder whether you could get the bimini built into the radar arch and get rid of the current bimini tubing to make it even cleaner (although it looks great as is).

Took Delivery of my 2010 Tournament 275 yesterday

That may be due to a light fuel load and not much equipment on the boat?? The boat does look nice with the radar arch. Is that installed by Grady or a third party?

NEED A BUFFER AND WHAT BRAND IS SUGGESTED

I have the Porter Cable 7336/7224 and recommend it highly. It is a random orbital buffer. It is highly regarded and recommended by a lot of people who use it on a professional basis (e.g., a lot of automotive detailers).

    Tournament 192 vs 205

One of the things I like about the 192 layout is the cockpit room. The bow area is somewhat limited to provide space in the cockpit. I found that kids were the primary users of the bow area, and 2 or 3 fit there just fine. The old 22 was that way also - smaller bow area to get more...

    Buffing Question

You want a RANDOM Orbital buffer, not a plain orbital one. The Porter Cable 7336/7224 is very popular. I have the PC and really like it. However, I just do the waxing and removal by hand more than half the time.

    boat of my dreams

Great find. I doubt there are many new Gradys of that vintage. It is nice of you to help them clear out old inventory.

    Horsepower for tournament 205

It should be as that is a strong 150. Grady sold a lot of the cabin model, which weighs slightly more, with a 150. That said, if you are buying new, I would look into one of the new, lighter weight 200 hp Yamahas.

    Tournament 192 vs 205

I prefer the layout and looks of the 192 (big cockpit, swim platform), but the 205 can be had with a head and the 192 can't plus the 205 has the more rounded windshield.
