    Fuel Tank Sensor

Shouldn't cause any problems at all. In fact to determine the gauge is working properly; if you touch both wires it should register full. To determine the length of the sensor you need to remove and measure it. This is where you usually knock a bunch of crap into the tank.

    Fuel Tank Sensor

Yep, had a 21 Escape and had the exact same problem. Caulk breaks down and/or O-rings on the inspection covers begin to leak. I cleaned everything with a stiff brush and vacuumed up all the debris. Need to do that or it'll end up on your bilge pump screen. I used an aftermarket replacement...

    Leaking toilet bowl

Toilet bowl appears to be leaking where it bolts to the flange. Noticed some pink antifreeze on the floor when commissioning. Is this as simple as getting the model number and calling Jamestown? Is this a pretty easy repair?

    OX66 RPMS dropping???

You got a few hours on that girl. Suggest going over to THT and search OX66. If service history is unknown I would replace EVERYTHING that is recommended on THT maintenance threads for this motor along with the fuel system maintenance.

    Battery Charger, "Recharge"

Bringing this to the top cause I'm thinking about the same thing. Dale, why did your run a new 110 outlet to the hull?? Why not use the existing 110v cable from the old charger and install a quad box to plug in the chargers? Is this still working well for you? My battery's are so crammed in...

    247 advance: deck floor sagging

Yep, couple of posts about this on all the older Grady's. While the hatch is being repaired you might want to remove all the hatches, pull out the caulk and install with new caulk.

    Battery Tenders

Maybe the new marine charges have improved, but everyone I've owned, included new ones I've installed, have fried batteries. And that really surprises me. I have not read any negative reviews about $25 Battery Tenders; but a $300-$500 marine charger will fry batteries. My main complaint is in...

    Battery Tenders

Very nice set-up Dale. How is the AC side wired? Honestly, I thought there would be a problem using the standard Battery Tenders on marine batteries in a bilge with fuel tanks. You guys that use them while wintering, do you use the alligator clips?

    Battery Tenders

I've had chargers fry batteries so this winter I tried to remember to hook the extension up from my garage to the boats AC connection. I tried to remember to do this every week or so. The boat has 3-batteries and the Grady standard issue charger from 1999. Next winter I was considering...

    Step Treads

My steps take a beating. The edges have a clear trim molding. Does anyone know a source?

Think we have a bit of confusion. I believe the 305 is an express cruiser vs the 30' Marlin which is a walk around. Big difference in cabin space. If you and the wife are smaller the express will be fine. My wife and I are tallish and need the extra head room. ALSO, it is my HO that the...

4-Blade Props on Sailfish with OX66's

Good stuff here gents. Couple comments: 1) The price of gas, which is suppose to increase Monday, is the obvious variable. A small increase in price means huge gains in recouping the cost of the props. 2) I believe the prop guys have figured out how to negate the drag of the 4th blade by...

4-Blade Props on Sailfish with OX66's

Don't really care about the hyped quicker hole shot the 4-blades give; or worried about loosing a few MPH on the top end. Looking for better fuel economy at the same cruising speed. Is this possible with 225 OX66's on a sailfish? Thinking about doing the research but before I invest the time...

    272 sailfish

Megabytes you talking about your Marlin right?? No way am I getting 4-bars of trim, wish I could. 3-bars tops but only in perfect conditions and an empty hot water heater and nothing in the bow. With gas stupid expensive I'm cruising at about 3700 RPM and 17-GPH. MPG flickers between 1.5 & 1.6.

I knew it! And, no we're letting you off that easy seasick. I'm about 3-5 years from retirement and I know a lot of guys that are retired. They're all becoming techno nerds!! Wake up in the morning and move to their comand center with 2-monitors, usually the big jobs so they don't need their...

Certified old fart here and I enjoy all the "what wax you using?" posts. Recall getting on here a while ago and getting right off because of no activity. This is an owners forum and is open to any and all conversations. Sorry we disapoint you with our mindless, sometimes repetative inquiries...

I trailer my Sailfish twice a year; to launch in the Spring and haul in the Fall. I only go about 9-miles and I'm pulling it with a 3/4 ton Chevy PU with gas engine. I wouldn't want to trailer it any further.

Looks nice gulfcart. How did you tee it into the AC?
