You are correct. Serial number is the best way to determine whether the engines fall in range for susceptibility to the corrosion issue. I will be having both motors on my boat done this off-season as they are just beginning to show signs of corrosion when scoped a few weeks ago.

New to the club as we just picked up a 2007 275 Tournament this past weekend. Major change as we stepped up from a 1979 Mako 20 that I had done a light restoration on. Had a great first weekend with the boat and looking forward to making it our own for seasons to come. Open to any and everything...
