I hear ya there too on the stink factor. Normally requires a mid-trip bleachfest.

    Refrigerator Replacement 2000 Marlin

Any chance you can go custom? Have a local who does custom refrigeration make a box that puts the pump in the bilge, so the heat can dissapate there instead of into the compartment the fridge sits in? I did this on an old boat I had with two Norcolds. Got rid of the pumps into the bilge which...

    Marlin Aft Deck access

If screw holes are caulked, what is the downside of getting the bilge wet through this unsealed hatch? I have always planned on this being wet, on our multi day trips we use a saltwater washdown 10X/ day, theres minor corrosion here and there, but I've tried to keep it sparkling. I may remove...

    Latest MFD, Sonar and Radar

Last June (2017) I replaced the Raymarine C series that was original (I assume, 2007) and upgraded almost everything with the Raymarine Axiom system. Bottom line: seriously way better than my C series stuff. Faster, clearer, more powerful. Good to note they immediately came out with an...

New Prop. Three blades vs four

CJ7Rob, call Ken at PropGods. Some guys have the exact same boat/engine setup but do different things and need more or less of something in trade for that sweet spot. Ken guides you through questions and suggests. Good return policy. Also, Fishtales, I do definitely get more lift. With the...

    2000 Marlin

Mr Crab I wouldn't say the Marlin is bow heavy per se... I can't wait for you to get out and mess with it in different conditions. The boat is pretty heavy and can take care of herself. Depending on your props and weight distribution you'll figure her out pretty fast. I'm running 4 blade props...

    Companion Seat

Fishtales, what do you mean by companion seat.... are you talking about companion chair, or is yours the bench seat model? Curious

New Prop. Three blades vs four

Call Ken at Propgods, he will dial in your wishes and suggest a prop or two. Otherwise, a 4 blade theoretically "grips" more water and may provide more lift, helping planing or heavy loads (like mine). Yours will be interesting as there's a million options. Can't wait to hear what the others say.

    Marlin Cockpit Scuppers

Here's a link with information on other models. Looks like some things are pertinent to this discussion. http://www.greatgrady.com/forum/viewtop ... =2&t=25296 I looked up the stainless replacements. Only $63 each!!! Why do I enjoy boating again??? :bang

    Marlin Cockpit Scuppers

I'm in the same situation, except I have a couple 4 oz round lead weights that rolled in the Starboard side scuppers. Need to fix this issue ASAP!!! Will be watching this thread closely. Thanks for the replacement part number. RC

    2000 Marlin

Sickday has a good point, and one for our west coast square waves comes in handy. The Marlin is plenty heavy without re-routing battery cables to the bow, etc... That's not to say that a heavy ass end is desireable, however. In west coast swells and wind waves (I have never piloted the E...

    Marlin 300 listing

My 2007 Marlin lists to port when lightly loaded and tied to the dock, always has. I assume this is a weight issue that numerous things in my boat could cause including batteries, fridge, water heater, AC unit, microwave more fiberglass to create the galley vs the head, etc.... But I don't...

External Fuel Pump Fischer Panda 4+

So, after finally completing all my research and talking to Grady, local mechanic, FP rep, and the rep at Walbro, I found you can use anything rated for diesel that runs in the 20GPH range and minimum of 3.5PSI. Facet 40176 is what FP is supplying to Grady on the new models. I ended up going...

External Fuel Pump Fischer Panda 4+

Heres GW response. Good afternoon Randy. I checked with our engineering folks and although it is external, it was part of the Mini 4 kit provided by Fischer Panda. They can assist with specifics and replacement info at (800) 509-6494. If you have any additional questions please let us know.

External Fuel Pump Fischer Panda 4+

According to FP, Grady shipped my boat with a Walbro pump that is no longer made due to advances in power use. You can find a similar pump here: https://walbrofuelpumps.com/marine-industrial-fuel-pump But they were unsure which model to recommend because FP now ships all gennys with this...
