    Installation of livewell

Welcome to the forum! It's a great grady place! It's tough to beat the Kodiak baitwells. My favorite is the 32 high, I have one that mounts right in front of the motor at the back of the cockpit, overflow pipes out over the motorwell. It has the quick mount pads, so four screws and it comes...

Best single engine GW Walkaround Cabin

X2 if you can find one you like. These and the sailfish are my favorite even though I've never ridden in either. Now you have a boat with a stand-up head and shower, and lots of beef for seas. You need a real truck to pull it though. There are some 265's out there too, now that's a good...

Best single engine GW Walkaround Cabin

Okay, yeah, the tourney isn't going to fit. Prolly no AC in a 208 either, it's just not big enough. I wouldn't think for a 226/228 either, but maybe some others in hot climes can chime in. The 208 v-berth fills up the entire area, with a cover over the foot well, and another over the...

The Tournament models may better suit you. They are great day-boats and setup really well for towing and watersports. A nice heavy duty towing pylon is a factory option. And with a tonneau over the bow would suffice for those day-trips on the ocean. In this case the 22 footer is a better...

Welcome to the forum! There are nice rich people, and some not so nice rich people. Just like in every other economic bracket. The shear quantity of high-end homes and yachts in so-cal is mind boggling. It's entertaining to just cruise the harbors. Thought some might enjoy some...

Grady White 208 Adventure mooring cover suggestions

Re: Cover I have one of these, fits great. Mine was about $250, shipped, from West Marine. I did have to cut out for the outboard when tilted for storage. If you can store the motor down then the stock fit is fine. And I sewed out the pocket thet forms between the rails over the bow...

Best single engine GW Walkaround Cabin

Welcome to the forum!! Since I have one, my vote is for the 208. We love our boat. It handles ocean work with aplomb. The notched transom is not an issue unless you're in extremely steep following seas that are breaking, and even then it's a self-draining well. We have never had more than...

Ha...yeah, it's all decadence and millions of dollars in Huntington Harbor. I think the median home value is like 4-5mil. I'm sure there are LOTS of 'bassholes'. 8)

    Teak

Do a search under my postings, there was at least a good thread or two on teak finishing. Varnish, or Deks olja. Remove the peices, use teak cleaner, sand them down, and refinish. Not hard to do and will look fantastic. Teak is one of the best woods they ever made. ATF...

    This Ever Happen To You?

People have other priorities, things that take them away from what they really want to do or be involved with. I was telling the story on another thread about a boat I bought in the 80's. It was a very finely built wooden boat, a 26' cutter. A shipwright that built boats on Lake Union in...

    any opinions would be appreciated

Welcome to the forum Jimmy. The I/O's were an odd one. I suppose a diesel conversion would make for an economical runner. I don't like that the engine sits in the middle of the cockpit. Either move it up under the helm like Albamarle, or put it under the floor in an inboard. JMHO.
