    Trailering a Marlin 300

In lieu of someone that is trailering their Marlin responding.... Personally, no - but from experience with hundreds and hundreds of boats....... In your Grady owner's manual will be dimensions/specs (avail online, too). The boat will sit roughly 2' off the ground when on a trailer. Does...

    Freshwater system issue

Thanks - it may not seem important to you, but it helps alleviate questions we may have. Still waiting on my second question. It also helps if you fully read everything we write :) :) In lieu of a new faucet that you just ordered... can you just plug/block the line? You don't need to turn...

    trolling motor

Personally, no. But I know I've seen previous posts about this. Try doing some searches for it. I know they're there... assuming my memory still works.

    Freshwater system issue

Check my second question, please. Also, although you said you just bought the boat, it wasn't clear if this was a new issue for you, or not.

How to run engine in a bucket?

Ha! Just realized the OP was me... over a decade ago!!! That was my first go around with a large OB and trying to run in a bucket. Yes, a 55-gallon plastic drum from Craigslist (often times found for free) WILL work.

    Freshwater system issue

On your boat, do you have a water distribution manifold or all the lines interconnected? Does each faucet have it's own shut-off? You didn't mention if this is a new issue? Assuming no WDM or shutoff and that it's a new issue... just like at home, remove the aerator and clean. That's the...

    Flag In Bow?

Fly it where you want and go boating :) In my opinion, choosing to fly the American flag trumps location.

S3213 fuel/water separator filter- Racor vs China noname from Amazon

I wouldn't be surprised if there are differences on the inside, as well. I once had about 20 oil filters that were used on Mercruiser small blocks (all from recent oil changes at the shop). There were Mercruiser brand, Sierra, Fram, etc. I cut a whole bunch of them apart. Obvious...

Grady 360 Express Sharrow props anyone tried/happy?

This has actually been talkled about a number of times here on the forum if you wanted to search to read more info. In every post I have personally read, I haven't yet come across someone who is using them. However, don't limit yourself to just Grady's - for the sake of what we're talking...

    Head Door Gasket

So they DID help you? From what you wrote, it appears so?

    Head Door Gasket

You could just call a dealer and tell them what you need - they'll do the legwork and figure it out. Otherwise, as noted, MC is a good source for lot's of these things. Look closely at the different types of foam rubber, though.

Battery Charger to stay away from or REMOVE ASAP

That's amazing timing - I just recently learned of this brand. I don't recall if it was on this forum or the Sea Ray forum - but someone commented that they had that charger. I had never, previously, heard of them. I thought the name sounded like Chinese junk, though turns out, they've been...

Grady 336 Fresh Water Tank Sending Unit

It was in the part that talked about the various components of the boat - there was a paragraph or two about it. Or, at least, the one that I looked at from GW's site had it. Maybe you have something different?

Grady 336 Fresh Water Tank Sending Unit

Just for kicks, I just looked in your manual and it actually states how to access both the tank and the heater. I don't have your boat so I can't comment on "how" accessible they are... but I work on a lot of boats and, generally speaking, access is largely determined by your size and how often...

New trailer has odd tire wear?

Assembled/welded wrong leading to a funky angle of the axle stub. It's not a "common" thing, but it does happen.

    Repower options

Who are you going to report? :) You'd be better off buying another boat than "converting" to a notched transom. It would be stupidly expensive to that. Just think it through a bit and look at all the work that would have to be done. Besides, brackets are better, anyways.

    Repower options

Your post makes it sound like you have a notched transom... but you wouldn't have that if you have a stern drive. Can you clarify what you're asking?

    Battery charger

Have you verified that you do, in fact, get water into your bilge? You might be doing this all for naught. However, I'm a big fan of the ProMariner brand. I've been familiar with them for 3 decades - being used on many boats as original equipment and they fare extremely well. As noted above...

    Battery charger

Harpo, while it's not certainly not a bad thing to have a charger, it's not really needed on a small boat. Weeks and weeks can go by with no need for a charger. You mentioned that you want a charger since you'll be keeping the boat in the water. Why is that the deciding factor? That doesn't...
