    2003 HPDI 250s

Looks like I'm the new owner of twin HPDI's. We agreed on a price, motors will be pulled Saturday, crated and waiting for me to pick up Tuesday. Will bring home , have my marina pull my motors, I'll do all the wiring, and just let them do the heavy lifting. Feeling anxious, and a little nervous...

    2003 HPDI 250s

We are negotiating the price now, everything except for steering ram and props 7500.00 he's asking. I threw out 6000.00 waiting for a counter offer. They have been online for over 2 months, if they were such a great deal, I would have guessed they would of moved by now. I'll keep everyone...

    2003 HPDI 250s

Ok, so I drove up to Jersey yesterday, checked out the motors. Compression was 125-130 on all cylinders. Checked every cylinder with bore scope, pistons looked shiny and and great, no signs of detonation problems. Laptop hooked up to both motors, 680 hours on port 683 to starboard. only faults...

    2003 HPDI 250s

Hello friends, I need a new set of motors for my 90 Grady 28 Marlin. I see a gentleman in Fords NJ has a set of HPDI 250s I been eyeing up. I am very new at the repowering game, I tried going at it last year, taking a gentlemans words on a set of OX 66 250s, and bought a bad motor, so Im a...

    Popping out of gear

Good afternoon my friends, I put on a pair of new to me 1997 OX 66 250's last fall. Just recently the starboard engine has been randomly popping out of gear , not every trip, but enough to be annoying. I tightened the turn buckle as far as it would go, hoping to keep it from popping out, but...

    !997 OX66 250 Stator question

Thanks medic for the advice. We changed the stator, and the boat ran flawlessly, put the pressure gauge on and it matced the starboard engine at 37psi. What a relief, found the stator online used, but guaranteed for 250.00 shipped. Thanks again, now bring on the fishes.

    !997 OX66 250 Stator question

Good afternoon friends. I have a quick question I would like to bounce off you all before I spring for the stator. Everything I have read, and researched points to the stator. My question is I talked to a Yamaha tech, and he had me check a few things before he came to the marina. Told me to...

    Thermo sensor

Thanks guys for all your help, the reason I said it went all the way back to the gauges is thats what the previous owner had told me, but they just ran nowhere when they got to the cluster. Makes sense that it is an add on , and done by the owner before the guy who sold them to me. I swapped the...

    Thermo sensor

Thanks, that's some great information. While googling O2 sensors I came a crossed a pic of it, not the one the arrow is pointing at, but the one directly behind it with the rusted connectors. Thanks again Glen

    Thermo sensor

Good morning, I recently finished my repower of 2 1998 OX66 250 motors. Everything was basically plug and play except for one sensor on top of both motors. Just a light blue and a black wire coming out of it. I can't seem to find anything online about it or more importantly where it plugs in...

Thank you for your help, I believe I am just going to try the one cylinder first. Obviously it works on your boat, and the 30 ft Sonic I bought them off of. Thanks again Glen
