    I asked them about the laws in Tx and they said it wasnt a problem...as for the brakes, they said thats would be fine..both would be a bit much but they would do it if I wanted to, the extra costs add up as well.     Get a survey...for that age and the cost of what a surveyor costs it's a no brainer. If you've done your research that period there are known issues with the transom across all models.     plastic wood trim looks lousy

    I took all my trim off, did a intense sanding job, then applied like 4 coats of pettit topside 2 part poly paint, its holding up great, no chips or fading, looks like the day I put them back on, and my boat sits in the water 24/7-365. I think this post had so pics of what it came out looking...

    Trailer or Marina?

    I would say Marina, thats a big boat to be moving back and forth, prob really hard if your alone most of the time. Although I have a 24 it sits in a slip and I like to tinker all the time as well. Most of the tinkering can be done while it sits in the water, its often nicer to be on the water...
