Footwell Removal Access to Trim Tabs Pump

I have removed all access panels, switch plates and the foot well to no avail. I have not yet removed the panel inside the dog house. I would be surprised if I could reach the underside of the switch from there since it appears to be about 4 feet or so assuming you could actually climb in.

Footwell Removal Access to Trim Tabs Pump

Another access issue. To remove the Bennett trim tab switch, I need to get to the bottom of the switch from the underside. There is no way to do it short of cutting an access plate. That’s nuts. Perhaps it’s reachable if I remove the throttles but that seems quite difficult. Any ideas?

Footwell Removal Access to Trim Tabs Pump

I used a prior version of the Bennett ATC for many years with good results. I have had very poor results from the current Bennett ATC. As far as access goes, I think this is the easiest access but was hoping others here might advise.

Footwell Removal Access to Trim Tabs Pump

Will removal of the footwell on the 2013 Freedom 285 permit me to access the trim tab pump? I am looking at swapping the Bennett trim tab controller for the Mente Marine and I need to work on the wires to the trim tab pump. Thanks.

2013 Freedom 285 Bilge Access Awful

Thank you. That does give me some solace that is, until I need to replace one of those pumps. As to pouring anti freeze into the raw water washdown spigot, not possible. Spigot faces downward toward the deck.

2013 Freedom 285 Bilge Access Awful

First time winterizing boat here in New York. The boat stays in the water. She has four pumps—fresh water washdown, salt water wash down, live well and macerator. While I was able to run pink stuff through the fresh water pump and the macerator pump, there is absolutely no way to get to the salt...

    Freedom 285 deck screw

One of my deck screws is bottomed out but not catching on anything. It is creating a little flex in the deck under weight since the screw is not doing its job. I cannot easily get under the deck to see where the screw is supposed to catch. I am also reluctant to put in a longer screw because I...

    Accordion door Latch

Perhaps I should try again. I am looking for the way to keep the door closed when it is in use as a wind screen. I have two other latches that work as described above when the door is folded and being stored next to the head compartment. But, when being used as a wind screen, I only have a large...

    Accordion door Latch

I am having trouble figuring how to keep the accordion winscreen door closed on my new to me Freedom 285. When I close it to use it as a windscreen, it just blows back and slams against the head compartment. Is that knob supposed to pull out to free the metal piece to slide over the joint? If...

    Wood Grain Vinyl

The wood grain vinyl is starting to peel and split on some of the side portions near the helm area of my Freedom 285. Is there a source to get the OEM wood grain vinyl?

    Folding Rod Holder Freedom 285

The folding rod holder in the head of my 2013 Freedom 285 seems to fall off whenever I store rods on it. I put it back on but it never stays on. What am I missing and is there a better alternative to hold the butt end of my two rods. Thanks.

    Grady Freedom Wire Chase

I have a new to me 2013 Freedom 285. I need to run two wires from the under the windlass area to under the dash. What is the easiest way to do this? Is there a wire chase from under the dash on the starboard side to the windlass? Thasks.

    Freedom Bilge Access

Just bought a new to me Grady White Freedom 285 (2013). How in the world do you gain access to the aft bilge. The two hatches are blocked by the aft seat and even if I could get the hatches open, I would be on my belly reaching below the seat to gain access. There must be an easier way? Thanks.
