The compression numbers look perfect for that engine. The 250hp will do the job but most feel that 300hp+ is the ticket for that hull to dance the way it should.

If a solid transom, $5,500-6,500 from a reputable shop for a complete job.

I too had the exact same 'void' area in a strake about 5yrs ago. Filled in the space w/ epoxy & thickener. Sanded and then bottom painted. Not so isolated an experience it seems. An easy fix.

Has anyone recently changed out their horn after finding a good source..?? My local store is looking for $47 for the dual AFI one...And yes I have seen higher as well. Thanks for the help.

After 8-10 yrs you may retain about $1,000+/- of value for the HT you put on today. Your boat is still very young so in my view it would make more sense at this stage of the game and less so down the road. And yes a HT is probably the #1 accessory / feature a new buyer would be keen to have...

Have a buddy with a full transom Grady that probably needs to be redone. Looking for any leads of a reputable guy in the NY / NJ area. One quote he got was way high. Almost made the purchase of a replacement hull a cheaper proposition.. Thanks for the help.

Renovator: Nice install. If you move the switch, cover the hole w/ a 1/4" black Starboard to match what you take out.

I have two buddies that are rigged w/ a 150hp without any complaints. You are perfect w/ the 175hp. More is overkill.

Engine comes in at 528lbs. for the 25" shaft. I ran a friend's 232 w/ one of these many times this past season. Excellent engine. Guy put about 200hr on it so far and loves it.

If you have yet to weed out the cause, change the inline fuse holder to the automotive type. I have found it to be the culprit / solution in several Garmin installations where the unit quits while 'underway' with the supplied in-line fuse in place.

How is the unit fused..??

Two are at my marina both w/ 150hp engines and both w/ happy owners.. Nice boat.
