tips for a following sea on 265 express

I agree with tilewave. Try to load the boat balanced and if too many passengers are on one side ask them to move. I rarely touch the trim tabs.

A Grady evening on the Columbia River

Boat gets splashed next Monday 5/3. Will be sitting on it that night having the first beer of the season and hopefully watching a sunset just like that one. Can’t wait, it was a long Winter.

It seems to happen on either battery. I use the batteries with the date, #1 on odd days and #2 on even days.

    Battery replacement

I have a 2017 Fisherman 236 that is my first boat, so bear with me. This will be the 5th season with this boat. Should I replace the batteries? I have had a problem with the electronics needing to re-boot when restarting the engine. In can be annoying when I lose the depth finder for a minute or...

Buy an inflation needle that is used to fill basketballs, footballs, etc, to re inflate them in the spring for the new season.

    Wireless MOB Kill Switches

With the new regulation that took effect on 4/1/21 about the mandatory wearing of kill switch lanyards on boats under 26 feet, I was wondering if anyone has installed a wireless kill switch on their boat? I have seen the ones with the wearable bracelets. Are there any other styles? Has anyone...

    Public Service Announcement

With only a few years boating experience i have a question not just about this incident but about mooring. Because of the lack of a port side stern line, wouldn’t a port side springer line tide to the dock be helpful? I see just a fender tide to the port mid cleat. Wouldn’t this be helpful in...

Finally got mine a few weeks ago. Got the ACR EPIRB with the ditch bag, beacon strobe light, mirror and whistle. Bought a Stanley waterproof rechargeable spotlight and started looking for a handheld waterproof radio. Thanks for all the input.

Grady White 216 Fisherman vs Coastal Explorer 251

What will be your primary use for the boat? Fishing in the bay? Fishing offshore? Pleasure cruising? The 251 has more room for pleasure cruising with tables and nice bow seats, but the shorter free board would be a challenge in rougher water. The 251 has a nice bow ladder for anchoring at a...

    Towing

I'm in Sea Isle City NJ and I have SeaTow. It seems I see more of their tow boats near the Townsends Inlet so that's why I went with them. I think it's about $140 a year.

    Not directly grady related

My daughter's boyfriend dropped and broke his iPhone over the summer. My daughter found a refurbished iPhone X on Amazon for around $400. I think it came with a 30 day warranty. He has had no problems with it since. Maybe Amazon would be a better place to look than EBay?

    Boat Renaming....

Here is the ceremony for renaming a boat: https://www.discoverboating.com/resources/ceremony-for-renaming-your-boat It's a little long and slightly complicated but it does give you an excuse to drink champagne and have a little party. Good luck.
