    Cockpit heat ideas 208 Adventure

I’d like to see the milk crate setup you have for it. My little Overnighter gets rocked around most days in striper season. I’d like to use one of these but certainly don’t want it tipping over. That brings up another point, these things have auto shut offs when tipped. Do you find yours...

The only better boat than a Grady is a bigger Grady and I'm going bigger

Lucky dude that’s a pretty nice boat ! Maybe one day I’ll make the jump ;)

Your experience with a hydrofoil (especially on a 228)?

I put one on my 19’ bowrider because it would send the bow skyward on takeoff and would porpoise a little at cruise. A stingray hydrofoil fixed that nicely, getting up on plane super quick but reduced the top speed a little and when turning it would turn really flat instead of leaning into it...

    Older grady

They do ;) But I could never fish under those Bimini’s and fight one around all that stuff.

    Older grady

I actually have a 204c and love it. This one is named “fishing machine” , like to know how much fun it is fishing around all those Bimini top support poles. ;)

    Older grady

Yup that’s it. It’s a BIG plate so there must have been a lot of flex. $100 for a stainless plate as opposed to $2,000+ for a rebuilt transom. The plate probably works but thinking about it now it makes you wonder what other short cuts there might be.

    Older grady

Aside from the wet transom with the creative repair (crutch) it looks like a nice boat. I’d have to factor in $2 k into the price for a proper transom repair.

How to access nuts to tighten Boat railings

I just recently added two new cleats to the front side areas of my Overnighter under the railings. There is a very tight gap from inside the cabin giving access to the underside of the upper deck where the railings are bolted down. Could get my arm up in there or my head to see but I had a...

    Zipper extends

I’ve got to get it to fit in the state it’s in. Because I trailer it’s going to put up and taken down and stored so even if I get it stretched back out it’d probably shrink back up in short order. A real fix would be to have some nice navy blue canvas made up with side curtains and drop. Years...

What are your Top 3 favorite boat mods or additions you've made?

I agree ! Drifter, I’m a little blown away with the swing away railing . Climbing over the rail at the ramp is something that always scares me a little. I’m not as graceful or nimble as I used to be nor do I heal as quickly. Can you tell me where to find the parts and what to look for in doing...

What are your Top 3 favorite boat mods or additions you've made?

Oh this is a good thread ! I’m jealous of the seadeck and definitely that custom hardtop pilot house !

    Zipper extends

Oh more than likely I’ll do this and however many it takes so be it ! The goal is to have the enclosure on hand and be able to put it up without fighting it quickly should the weather turn ugly. It’ll be a staple for chasing stripers this time of year !

    Zipper extends

This is where it is stored so no heat. Feeling like even if I did get it stretched it would just shrink back. I trailer so it’s not like I can fight it into its skinny jeans ;) and leave it that way in a slip. The site you found looks good and may be an option thanks.

    Zipper extends

Something that’s taken a back seat to other things on my Grady to do list is getting the canvas enclosure usable. The factory canvas “looks” new but as so many do it’s shrunk some. I saw a product called zip extends that zip in between the panels bridging the gap. Anyone here given this a try...

My New Grady White Overnighter 204c

Funny, the only cushion mines missing is that center one on the bow of your boat in this pic ! Make sure you never trailer your boat with any of the cushions exposed to the wind or they'll blow out on the trip.

What are your Top 3 favorite boat mods or additions you've made?

The dash upgrade was a good improvement... from this.... To this with a Blue Sea switch panel.

What are your Top 3 favorite boat mods or additions you've made?

This is what the negative busbar replaced.... This is how Grady provided ground to multiple accessories. I've since put a lot of Blues, Fluke and bass into that well like this 43"er. They all recover from the fight in there and make culling my catch a snap without harming the fish...

What are your Top 3 favorite boat mods or additions you've made?

I added a bunch of store bought stuff, Simad, etc... but you ask for "mods". I got mods ;) Number #1 is converting my starboard front fishbox to a livewell. It is plumbed with the rear livewell thru a diverter valve used by wakeboarders to fill water tanks but I use the valve to send fresh...
