Clean arm rest first with the solution, then you can use the vinyl dye.
I have the ACR GlobalFix v4 also. I also loaded the ditch bag with survival water, rations,VHF, First aid kit, flares, etc. We routinely run 120 miles offshore.
I also have a 6 man life raft.
Okay I will throw in my two pennies worth......my guess is you have a bad blade on the impeller. I say that because last year I had a similar problem with my port engine at low power settings and after checking thermostats, etc., dropped the lower unit to find one of the blades on the impeller...
Prep was cleaning off the sweat/suntan lotion goo. I used a solution of dawn soap, hydrogen peroxide, and baking soda. I tablespoon of the soap, and hydrogen peroxide, and then as much baking soda to make a thick goo to spread on the arms. Wait one hour and then wash off with a scrubby pad.
Our marina at Port Canaveral, Blue Points Marina, is opening back up tomorrow, with new guidelines of course. At least we will be able to get our boats out and either work on them or go fishing......

Yea, I had a guy get a hook caught in the drain and pull it out and broke the plastic bar. So what I did was measure the diameter of the drain and cut a 1/4 inch wooden dowel and inserted into the drain where the plastic bar broke. I did that 6 years ago and it is still good. Cheap fix.
