Any members down in the Melbourne / Canaveral area? Have some general questions on fishing in that area - possible for me to work remotely there for a couple of weeks and wondering about fishing options / time of year etc. PM is ok.

My 2003 F225's sometimes have water flow through the tell tale, and sometimes they do not. This is using the hose port on the engines themselves. My guess is this is due to water pressure differences at the marina.

You might check the back of the gauge which used to report the fuel flow - if original Yamaha, those wires most likely went to gauges, not the switch panel.

Is the switch in question attached in that location, or is the picture just the switch cover? It definitely looks like an afterthought from a placement perspective.

For the delay, yes very possible it could be a faulty switch or a loose connection on that specific circuit. I've had a couple of them go bad over the years on various boats. The switches are pretty standard items and not bad to swap out. You might consider buying a couple spares anyway...

Agree with HMB - once you take out the 4 screws, you may need to pry the panel out, as they can be tight fits. I recall the reading light being in my way a bit as well. It was easier to replace that washdown hose than it was to replace the AC pump in the bilge. Updated thought: one...

Agree with HMB...that said, most of the spreader lights I'm familiar with are switched with the courtesy light above the helm. In 2008, I believe the location of the switch for spreader lights changed. If the spreader light switch is in your helm panel, it is possible that it is not factory...

What transducer are you working with? That will play into the sonar hub a bit, as it will vary if you use traditional sonar vs. CHIRP, for instance. I have a traditional through hull transducer M164 I believe, and have a CP370 between it and my E127's.

I've had reasonable luck with Boat Outfitters for hardware replacements. For the trim tab, I've always used bottom paint. That said, it looks like yours are raw, so will need primer first.
