Is there a recommended thickness of the chain and rope on the windlass?

Yeah, I've been reading up on windlass operation, since this will be my first go with one. Also about tying off the rope to a cleat to release tension off the windlass when anchored, etc.

My 265 didn't come with an anchor or rode. What are other 265 owners using for theirs? As I've mentioned before, I'm in the Pacific NW and coming from an aluminum boat that was a manual pull anchor. The typical "Columbia River Anchor" setup was with an anchor ball and a break away setup...

have you pulled the relay and looked at it, or got any #s off of it? I wouldn't think it would be a "special" relay and more than likely just a standard relay you could get at any parts store. Also to add to that, could it possibly be the motor with a intermittent issue? Ive personally not...

So mine has the 2 "arms". The issue is the smaller arm, not the one the wiper attaches to, isnt secure at the base. What i cant tell is if its normally secured with a circlip or if its held in place with a nut. Im guessing a nut, but the threaded portion is basically broke off. The other...

2000 265 wiper mechanism, not the motor, but the part on the outside of the boat. Anyone know if that is a somewhat generic part or grady specific?

It's wired with the NMEA pwr from the suzuki harness and now I can see data on the Raymarine displays.

The gray and black are on the back side of the ignition switch correct?

yeah, that does make sense. I'll get that wired in and see what happens. It looks like from the wiring diagram I've found there is a gray wire I can use for Ignition power.

The boat is home, and it's done for the most part. The only issue we're having is with tying in the kicker to the main steering. The attachment points for the kicker steering cable are not working, so I may need to fabricate a bracket or something to get them to work together or just remove...

Also when I go into the "Display Network" on the Raymarines, I see both Raymarine displays on the network, but dont see the Suzuki gauges

Yeah, i dont see any of that. The fuel senders are connected, as i can see the level on the suzuki gauges.

The suzuki gauges display engine data, but the Raymarine displays don't. I'm going to install the Keyed power T and see if anything changes.
