There a countless posts on GG about transom problems. Where are you located? Put some photos up of why you think you have a transom problem.
I'm sure the aluminum bang cap under the motors is chewed up. Not necessarily a problem. Is the transom swollen under the bang cap? Any fiberglass cracks...
Like Kirk said it's best to have someone who does this work do it for you. Where are you located? It helps others to help you! Put in your profile.
Process is to soda blast the bottom, install a barrier coat (goes on in multiple coats) and then bottom paint (two coats of an ablative paint)...
Would have to look at how many wires are coming out of the seat to the switch. You would need more than 2 for the motor to have limit switches.
Here is a 2-wire with limit switches.
When you say the motor runs in one direction and not the other - where is the seat positioned - all the...
KISS - I have lots of snaps. Enclosure snaps, tonnou cover snaps, seat snaps, cushion snaps. This tool is at the helm all the time. After you loose an expensive cushion you can decide the best approach.

Run the hoses from the tank area but don't connect first. I cut the hole at the beginning of the project to make disassembly easier. There is a green ground wire on the fuel fills. The new Perko fuel fills have a bushing under them to divert water away from the fill. After you hook everything up...
My mechanic uses canned compressed air for blowing out hoses. Works great when tel-tale is not peeing water. Especially good to blow out fuel cooler clogs.
300lb monofiliment or string trimmer line works well too.
I just got to say what others are thinking: I'm always willing to help but if you can't figure out how to get water out of a cup holder maybe consider a different hobby.
Exactly what I had to do. Remove the main power outlet and work thru the hole to get wires to the battery compartment.
For a minute there I thought that was your gaff (Yikes!).
I don't know anything about your seat but I do know how the motor and switch work. There is only one motor for the seat actuator. The switch will reverse
the polarity and drive the motor in forward/reverse. If it will drive in one direction and not the other it is likely a bad switch or a wire...
Take a look at this thread.

Ask any question you may have.
Flush mount panels is screwed from behind. Unit screws in from the front with 4 screws. Trim strips clip over. Gives a nice clean look. I used security screws...
I have more detail in another post on GG. I also have some work in progress photos. I'll look for it tonight.
A Sailfish has a wider beam then an Islander. Your lower helm may be a little wider.
The flush mount is one piece of Starboard but it extends up a little over the top of the...
I don't want to scare off the OP Legend with Active Captain. It is a great tool and it imbedded in Garmin's product management plan. You can do everything on a phone but some tasks are better on a iPad. (bigger screen and higher resolution). Active Captain allows trip planning and waypoint...
Restarting this thread: Earlier this year I gave up on trying to get the GoPro to work as a live video feed underwater. Looking at two different cameras now for Winter trip to FL.
DropShot 20/20 has a HD camera (not listed on web site). Camera has a bronze thru hull housing with a plug so you...
My 268 Islander is all Garmin. Everything is easy to use and performs well. I fish on a Furuno boat as well but find there are too many things you can tune.
I like a two display setup with the larges displays that can fit. The Islander doesn't have room on the helm pod to handle two displays so...
I have installed stainless screws with finish washers on the top of my electronics box. It looks good there but I wouldn't do it on the transom.
I would drill out the holes to get any debris or sealant out. Fill as JJF said above with thickened epoxy (West Six10 or mix your own). You want to...
