Hi All: I have my eyes on a 360 and has just about everything i want (electronics/AC/engines etc.). However, it has lay out outriggers, a center rigger and a cockpit (Release) rocket launcher. I don't need or want these items given the hassle to store, wax, shrink wrap, and generally maintain them and rather have a wide-open cockpit. Also, don't think i can remove the outriggers in the fall and re-attach in spring by myself (need 2 people).

But....i like the boat a lot and i might be willing to purchase it even with this stuff that i don't want. Do you guys have a view here -- is it just silly to buy the boat and spend the money to have the yard permanently remove the outriggers and cockpit rocket launcher??

Hi,

Not at all silly.

No different than buying a boat without things and them adding them. It's a lot easier to remove things, than add 'em.

1 - when you go to sell it, the next buyer may want them.

2 - you could sell them right away and be done with it....

The only thing I wouldn't want is too many big holes left behind, but I don't think that is the case here.

I think I'd keep the bases and remove the poles and store if you have the room. As stated, if you sell it, it would be a negative not to have the poles. The side wishbone mounts fold up tight and the center rigger is out of the way. Who knows, you may get into fishing as some point.

Layout outriggers don't have bases. Remove them and fill mounting holes with bolts and finish washers. Sell them off.

As mentioned by others,
you can pull the things you don't like and either store or sell it.
The biggest issue is foresee is to close the mounting holes of the cockpit rocket launcher base, but it should not be a big issue.
Outriggers and center rigger should be easy to take off and if you have no use for them then take them off.
