What am I missing here, for years I hook up my three battery, 1 port, 1 starboard, and 1 house. There a wire that connects the motor to the battery's that charge them.(port and starboard battery's )How does the house battery get charged when the motors are running?

How I did it,I picked up a piece of 5/4 X 6" X 7' teak ripped and split cut,planed them down to the sizes I needed and just used the old pieces as a pattern. sanded with 100,150,220 and 400 sand paper, two coats of varnish, first coat 50/50 mix.wood cost $ 140.00 .

I washed my rub rails with "boat zoap plus " and with some scrubbing they came out like new , then used a turtle wax item that is made for tires and they look great.

Just have to cleaner her up, replace cushions and wax .

if it's like my boat , the oil tanks are worked on from removing the live well tank build in the back, pop that out, jump in the hole and work on the oil tanks. My tanks are about 1 1/2 gallons.

hey CATMARII how did the rust stain trouble clean up? I had some bad rust stains that didn't clean up with on off, but it did get 90% of it, had to use FSR for the last little bit.

check all your grounds. Most of the time I have battery troubles it ends up being a ground.

how far is your vent from where you smell it?

My sailfish leaked so I went around the windows with clear silicon calk , found out the horn bolts right above the window was the main reason fo the leak.

how many battery do you have? It is always a good idea to try to keep the starting batteries apart from the house batteries. what do you use the invertor for? You need a transfer switch installed to disconnect the inverter when on shore power?there are many ways to skin a cat, I found that...

there are more that just the pump to replace, you should replace the boot, the cutting blade and motor, it's not as bad as people are saying , wear some latex gloves and wash the thing off in a bleach mix before you start, I got my parts from Kerry at http://www.portlandyacht.com/parts.html...
