Good luck, personally I couldn't waste the time to film/edit all the things I've fixed, re-engineered or replaced in my lifetime. I appreciate those that do, but only watch what I need to.
The typical spots for water getting in are leaks at the stanchions for the hardtop, windows, cup holders (drain into bilge), hatch inspection ports (replace seals, replace with screw in version vs pop-in, and re-caulk to bulkhead.
When you are done in there, get some Nautical One Extreme Mildew Remover and liberally spray everything (assuming plug is out and you have it pitched to drain out) and wash it down well with a hose. The area will clean up nice and all mildew will be gone.
Saw the new model at the show today. $900K show price. Overall a very nice boat. Cabin is a big step up and aft birth area could sleep 3 if needed pretty comfortably. Microwave hidden in a cabinet which gave a clean look. Plenty of room at the helm for the large electronics. I'd say the...
Smaller boats I get it. All are tradeoffs. In a big boat, I think you need to have a design that isn't overly cramped in the helm. I'm sure it doesn't matter much in a 35' boat if center or starboard helm. The 33 is just too darn tight just like the 282 was IMHO.
I'd replace them just because they scream 1970. If the guy knows what he is doing, it really shouldn't be an issue. Far better than wood and the associated maintenance.
Didn't solve yet to my knowledge. Going to the boat show this weekend and will check.. Just a bigger stainless bang plate to sell it. As we used to say in the electronics biz, sell your issues as a feature.....
If I ever buy a new one, I will require the factory to do it correctly before the...
Sounds ok from here. I did the same with a Fusion Head to a pairs of 8" speakers in the helm, a smaller pair in the cabin (can't remember size) and the the Fusion 2 channel amp (just using 1 channel) for two additional 8" speakers that I cut in to the cockpit. Was going to do a sub but don't...
