    24 Offshore Winch Hook Loose

That's some nice bling hangin' off the back of the boat!

    Wrong Way Corrigan

First check to see if you have your Garmin set to read "magnetic" as opposed to "true north". Second... do you have any speakers/etc (sources of magnetic disturbance) close to the compass? With the boat in your slip, does turning the wheel affect the compass? Does using/turning on any nearby...

    24 Offshore Winch Hook Loose

So, if you don't use the top cleat to lift the boat - which is fine since you always use the bow eye - you could do without this piece. Reinforce the top deck sufficiently and reuse the (or partial) threaded rod. The bow keel doesn't really need any reinforcing but you can add some goop, a...

    Strange, but, oh well!

    24 Offshore Winch Hook Loose

Interesting that yours looks differently shaped than mine. Do you not have the rod connecting to the deck cleat/lifting eye? What model year?

    24 Offshore Winch Hook Loose

Yup - Grady made that piece out of plain steel. Mine is an '82, but I'm "pretty sure" that even in 1982, Grady was aware that plain steel would..... Rust and corrode!!! I took accurate measurements, along with what was left, and went to a local metalworks shop and had them make me a new piece...

    24 Offshore Winch Hook Loose

It's been a while, but... I either went through the small access hole that is in that forward bulkhead in the cabin or.... more then likely, I probably just removed the entire bulkhead. Thinking about this... I'm pretty sure I just removed the bulkhead since it would have only took a few minutes.

    24 Offshore Winch Hook Loose

The Offshore does not have an anchor locker - at least not in the early years. I'm not sure if anything was changed later in the production years. Well, it does have a tiny little locker - but it's only accessed through the cabin and it's not big enough to actually be used.

    24 Offshore Winch Hook Loose

It's actually rather easy to access. I did it on my own Offshore. You NEED to check the condition of the bracket that connects the bow eye to the lifting cleat on the deck. DO NOT wait to do this. Do this before you trailer again!

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

There's not much else we can say - its the going to be the same thing over and over and over, you know? If you can't make the decision based on the responses... go find someone with digital controls and give 'em some money for gas and go play for a bit :)

    Head

And... it could still be a porta potty with separate holding tank, too. I guess the best thing is to first get concrete clarification (and maybe pics) of what were dealing with before going too far.

    Head

It sort of sounds like you're describing a porta-potty (generally plastic) with a macerator option. But can you clarify if you have a SEPARATE holding tank... or is the bottom section of the potty the holding tank? You should probably have a pump-out deck plate/fitting, as well (and probably a...

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

I think that question is one only you can answer. IS FBW nicer? Oh my gosh, yes! Every aspect of usability is nicer and easier. The only downside is if the system craps out - but generally speaking, FBW is very reliable - but make sure you battery connections are good/clean as FBW is voltage...

Hull Paint / Thru Hull Fittings?

Yes, it would be silly to go to all of the trouble of removing/reinstalling them when 90 seconds of taping does the job... and truthfully, they don't even need to be taped if the painter has had at least a 4th grade Art class in school :)

Trim tabs getting damaged when forklift lifts boat

The downward wings give better performance for the size of the tab. I wonder if something has been messed with at some time because one would "think" (hope?) that Grady would have taken that wing into account when mounting. Unless there's some issue with the rams not fully retracting.... Cut...

    Gulfstream 232 W/ Single Yamaha 250 4S

Another easy method is to just physically measure the diameter with one of those things that has graduations on it and tells you the length of things :):):) Joking aside... easy way to find the diameter... spin it against a wall till it just barely touches with it sitting on a piece of paper...

    Gulfstream 232 W/ Single Yamaha 250 4S

So that's a Yamaha prop - which is good. But that parts only tells you that it's a 17". To see the diameter, you have to look at the other spots that were mentioned above. Although I think on these props, the locations that Seasick mentioned is correct, not the spot I mentioned.

265 Express Rub Rail End Caps...

Oof - that's not nice -- of Grady to do that! I guess, no matter what you end up with, fill that hole with some good goop? Yeah, I guess if you can't find something off the shelf, then a little inventiveness is needed! I've seen SS end caps that are flat on that backside... to which a small...

    LIQUID CLEANER TRAPPED IN HULL

This is not a new issue or one that is specific to 235's. Pretty much all Grady's have a forward bilge that is slightly lower than the main bilge. As you are running the boat, it's probably in the main bilge due to the angle of the boat... and then when you come back to level, it comes forward...

265 Express Rub Rail End Caps...

Do you "need" the extension? From the picture, it doesn't look like you really need it. It seems like that's just a thing that is waiting to break off.
