Assuming during paint process would be the time to do thru hull fittings/hoses on an 05? What if upgrade in 2 years but want paint now?

hoses... no affect paint. paint... no affect hoses. same for fittings.
In theory chrome over bronze thru hulls should not be painted with copper based bottom paint. In theory also, chromed thru hulls should not be below the water line but might be below the bottom painted above the water line are of the side hull.
Did that make any sense:)

I'm talking about hull paint above the water. I originally assumed they would be removed for the paint process and it would be the proper time replace being a big point of failure but after more research it seems a painter may just tape off the fittings.

Yes, it would be silly to go to all of the trouble of removing/reinstalling them when 90 seconds of taping does the job... and truthfully, they don't even need to be taped if the painter has had at least a 4th grade Art class in school :)
