    Head

It sort of sounds like you're describing a porta-potty (generally plastic) with a macerator option. But can you clarify if you have a SEPARATE holding tank... or is the bottom section of the potty the holding tank? You should probably have a pump-out deck plate/fitting, as well (and probably a...

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

I think that question is one only you can answer. IS FBW nicer? Oh my gosh, yes! Every aspect of usability is nicer and easier. The only downside is if the system craps out - but generally speaking, FBW is very reliable - but make sure you battery connections are good/clean as FBW is voltage...

Hull Paint / Thru Hull Fittings?

Yes, it would be silly to go to all of the trouble of removing/reinstalling them when 90 seconds of taping does the job... and truthfully, they don't even need to be taped if the painter has had at least a 4th grade Art class in school :)

Trim tabs getting damaged when forklift lifts boat

The downward wings give better performance for the size of the tab. I wonder if something has been messed with at some time because one would "think" (hope?) that Grady would have taken that wing into account when mounting. Unless there's some issue with the rams not fully retracting.... Cut...

    Gulfstream 232 W/ Single Yamaha 250 4S

Another easy method is to just physically measure the diameter with one of those things that has graduations on it and tells you the length of things :):):) Joking aside... easy way to find the diameter... spin it against a wall till it just barely touches with it sitting on a piece of paper...

So that's a Yamaha prop - which is good. But that parts only tells you that it's a 17". To see the diameter, you have to look at the other spots that were mentioned above. Although I think on these props, the locations that Seasick mentioned is correct, not the spot I mentioned.

265 Express Rub Rail End Caps...

Oof - that's not nice -- of Grady to do that! I guess, no matter what you end up with, fill that hole with some good goop? Yeah, I guess if you can't find something off the shelf, then a little inventiveness is needed! I've seen SS end caps that are flat on that backside... to which a small...

    LIQUID CLEANER TRAPPED IN HULL

This is not a new issue or one that is specific to 235's. Pretty much all Grady's have a forward bilge that is slightly lower than the main bilge. As you are running the boat, it's probably in the main bilge due to the angle of the boat... and then when you come back to level, it comes forward...

265 Express Rub Rail End Caps...

Do you "need" the extension? From the picture, it doesn't look like you really need it. It seems like that's just a thing that is waiting to break off.

265 Express Rub Rail End Caps...

Too Tall - did info provided above give you something that would work? Barbour Plastics is another source to check into. You might be able to find something nicer/better than original, too.

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

Merc has a 7-year thing going, as well. But, yeah, that's a big chunk 'o money different!

    1995 Sailfish 272 Repower. Suzuki 200 or 225??

Four stroke Mercs are $6,500 more? That's a huge difference. Is that dollar amount worth it in terms of performance? Or... what is the Zuke lacking? I'm just amazed at the difference in price.

It does make sense... in theory :)

    Gulfstream 232 W/ Single Yamaha 250 4S

Since we're bombarding you with info... IF it turns out you are trimming up high enough like we talked about and your RPM's are too high for the speed... the prop might be too small. While diameter is one measure, we more commonly refer to a prop as being big/small based on it's "pitch" - which...

    Gulfstream 232 W/ Single Yamaha 250 4S

Good question. Typically, though, a spun "hub" (the rubber piece inside the prop that connects the splined piece to the blades... kind of like the clutch on a car) will allow an engine to all of a sudden OVER rev under high load. It doesn't sound like that is your issue. BUT... a quick...

    Gulfstream 232 W/ Single Yamaha 250 4S

Oh, wait... re-reading some things... did you ALREADY go WOT with the engine trimmed up? It kinda sounds like you may have done that. In that case, there's a problem. But maybe verify so we know for sure that you did that test already?

    Gulfstream 232 W/ Single Yamaha 250 4S

Totally fine! Actually, that helps tremendously that you mention that - I appreciate the honesty! This might be lengthy, but hopefully it's helpful... So... for now, forget about the tabs. You can play with them after you get used to the boat using engine trim. Tabs a wonderful tool to have...

    Gulfstream 232 W/ Single Yamaha 250 4S

I don't know if you missed my response or chose not to repsond to it for some reason, but there's a few things I brought up that should help if you could respond to them. One in particular is that you haven't told us how you are trimming the engine for WOT. The speed you mentioned falls in...
