    bolster replacement 208 massachusetts

I had the same problem. I bought custom coaming bolsters from Sea Dek Marine Products. I removed the Grady bolsters and the mounting hardware and these ones from Sea Dek are self adhesive. Look great. I used the white with the bimini blue backing. They were somewhere around $250 for both...

    In the Water

Charged the batteries and they held the charge.....splased her today after a really cold winter...engine fired right up, all electronics working...life is good. Saw a guy launching a small sail boat...backed too far down the ramp...ended up with his pick-up in the water up almost to the...

Looking at a 209 Fisherman with a 175 Suzuki four stroke. Hardly any Susies in my neck of the woods. Any comments on that engine? Sea trial went very well.

Changing the oil in a Yamaha F-200 4-stroke

Get a Mityvac and a fitting for the Yamaha engine and pump it out. A couple of pumps creates a nice vacuum and the oil comes right out of the filler tube . Get the little drain ramp so you can take off the oil filter with out making a mess and get the fuel filter wrench plus the fitting for...

    Trailer or Marina?

I had the same thoughts and I only have a 20' 208. I keep it dry stacked and when I want to go fool around with it, just call them and they will drop it in the water. That's what we pay for. I don't think you want to struggle with launching a 30'boat all the time. And I have a dually, but...

    New Yamaha 200 vs E-tech 200

I am sure you know that the new Yamaha F200 is an in-line four cylinder as opposed to the older one which is a V-6. Not that it matters and even may be less money to service. BTW, government agencies tend to buy low bid....just sayin'.

    New Grady 208 Owner

Dan, I know your boat. It is a nice rig and was well cared for. In my opinion,a power anchor windlass is not a necessary item on a 208 unless you may be dropping it and reeling it in several times a day. They are not cheap. Sharp's in Georgetown will do the canvas for you. Watch your depth...

What gauges to you have and which ones do not work? There is more to them that can go wrong other that just the gauge. Electrical connections, for one, get corroded and need to be cleaned.'

Yamaha F225 four stroke idles rough when warm

The filter on the engine requires a special wrench to get it off. Don't try to use anything else. It's all plastic. Don't ask me how I know this.

Read this if you have at least 100 posts:)

A lot of "forums" that I was interested in have diminished quite a lot in the last year or so. All being done on Facebook. I have learned a lot about my boat here an appreciate any input.

    Just purchased a 228 !!!

I believe that it is the 225 HP that has problems, not the 250 or the 200. My 200 has 600 hours, no problems.
