Where you able to find a replacement window gasket? If so, where did you find it? Thanks

    Decal Question

I was hoping you would reply, thanks. What did you use to buff out the hull and top side of your boat? Also, I am guessing you removed all the wax where the decals go prior to installing them? Did you wax over them after installation, any other tips you could share before I install them? Thanks

    Decal Question

I am doing this at the moment on my 228. The erasure wheel works well, but be ADVISED that you can easily burn your gel coat. I used the erasure wheel for about 3 feet and it works, but now I have to wet sand out some burn marks that will not buff out. I ended up using a heat gun (carefully)...

I need new Batteries for my 228

Great, that answers my question. I keep my boat out of the water with no draw on the batteries. I have the ACR breaker that I trip so I think in theory there is not draw. Battery charge has not been an issue until the one died.

I need new Batteries for my 228

I'm on the Oregon coast, so heat is not an issue. Sounds like I should just go with the starting batteries. Thanks

I need new Batteries for my 228

The Centennial's are a dual purpose batteries that my local marine store carries. I am not thrilled with them as I had one stop holding a charge after a few months (replaced under warranty). We are going into the 3rd season for them and I guess I expected a bit more time. I normally have my...

I need new Batteries for my 228

I am needing to replace my batteries in my 228 as one of them will not hold a charge and I do not trust the other. I am currently running group 24 centennial rv/marine batteries which only lasted 3 seasons. They barely meet the specs for a 2001 ox66 225 hp motor. What are you guys running in...

Drain plugs in rear deck scuppers?

My only concern is if you get some sort of debris stuck in there, it's going to be a pain to clear. Other than that, it looks like a viable solution.

Drain plugs in rear deck scuppers?

I get them from amazon, sounds like it might be time. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XH12Y7N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My through hulls are bronze, not plastic like the ones pictured in the link.

Drain plugs in rear deck scuppers?

No, you just replace the flapper.

Drain plugs in rear deck scuppers?

Interesting, here is what I replace mine with. I think it is worth a shot, since it's so easy and only a few dollars. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XH12Y7N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Drain plugs in rear deck scuppers?

Lucky, I replace the black perko flaps in the scupper every year. I know it might sound excessive, but those things dry out and do not seal well then. I get a tiny bit of water but not enough to ever worry about.
