Ads duplicate and even triple when logged in. When logged out, it’s fine.

    Grady Stringers and Knees?

Nothing to do with this post but the ads are getting beyond annoying. I get that they need to be there but they are duplicating and in some cases, seeing up to 4 of the same ad, same vendor all inline between the posts. Sometimes adjacent to posts, making everything hard to read.

    Grady Stringers and Knees?

Thanks. Not sure if I agree with a wet transom ever drying out. For that to happen, there needs to be air (preferably warm dry air). Regarding the hole drilling / vacuum, I've seen references to that but would love to see the before and after results from a moisture meter. If you are going to go...

    Grady Stringers and Knees?

I have not seen too many discussions or online videos regarding replacing Grady White stringers. However, there are quite a few transom videos. More common I guess given it’s more exposed and prone to fail… and not just for Grady White but many other brands. Since it seems like a transom May be...

    WTB 208 Adventure / 226 Seafarer

There seem to be a lot of them for sale. I have been looking for a 209 and seem to run into 208's at a 3:1 ratio or greater. I wanted a 208 many years ago and came close to buying one 2x. Even a newer one with a deposit. I ended up with a 180, figuring that would hold me over. Well, it did. I...

    226 vs 228 Ride?

I’ve heard about those kinds of mods for other outboards but not for the F150. How cool… Boat shopping is fun and at the same time, it sucks. I have a feeling my next boat may be intentionally intermediate.

    226 vs 228 Ride?

Thanks. The 208 that I may go and see later this week has an F150. I would prefer the F200 inline 4 but it's what's she's got and the same Yamaha inline 4 platform. I would want a hardtop on a 228 but not on a 208 and not sure why other than keeping the weight and wind resistance down. I'd also...

    226 vs 228 Ride?

In the past 10 years, find myself trolling and jigging more than casting. A walkaround or Pilothouse would totally work for this type of fishing. I still love casting but have a kayak and a smaller tin boat for inshore stuff. AFA crew, usually not more than 1-2 guests joining me at a time. Was...

    226 vs 228 Ride?

Thanks everyone. All good to hear. I have been set on moving up from a GW 180 CC to a 209 and waited long enough, I might be selling myself onto a different style of boat. Have been seeing a lot of 208's for sale and have always loved that hull and admit that is what I was shopping for prior...

    sell my 228

I suggest you post some pictures of the boat as well as some basic information including the hours, what's included, if there are any issues, the ownership history, etc. Look for other ads posted for other boats to get an understanding for what is typically posted as well as questions that are...

    226 vs 228 Ride?

I'm aware of the differences and the impacts of weight from an outboard, people, gear, etc... but wondering if anyone that has experience owning and/or driving both of these can speak to the difference in the ride in different conditions? Does the bracket help or hurt and in what conditions? I...

Wanted to buy - Seafarer 228

Factoring in the potential to upgrade for a boat you know you will keep for some time, one that comes with an older outboard could be viewed as a dispensable advantage.

    WTB: 209 Fisherman (2011-2017)

Regarding that one, there are several things that don't work for me personally including most of what you mentioned. 700 hours would certainly not concern me at all for 17+ year old boat. I am targeting a F200 inline 4 due to the weight / performance for that hull. I sea trialed a 2009 208 with...

    WTB: 209 Fisherman (2011-2017)

In case my wife is monitoring these forums, my budget is very limited and I need to prioritize her shoe money first. ;) I honestly don't have a budget. Rather, it needs to fit what I'm looking for and be a fair price. The range seems to be 35-55K with some big differences in what pops up...

    WTB: 209 Fisherman (2011-2017)

Thanks. Yes, I think the issue is that there are not a lot of Grady options before weight and cost go up too much and IME, your are more likely to find bottom paint on bigger boats, at least in the Northeast. Otherwise, I’d love a 257. My truck and wallet are just not ready though. The 222...

    WTB: 209 Fisherman (2011-2017)

Thanks. Yes, I saw that one and was interested, until I saw mention of “new bottom paint not seen in pictures”. If it were priced better, I would be willing to overlook it having bottom paint. I can see this being of value to the right buyer, but not for me.

    WTB: 209 Fisherman (2011-2017)

I’m still looking. If you have a 209 that you are considering selling, please let me know. Again, I’d prefer a 2016-2017 or even 2011-2017. I would even consider any year depending on the overall condition and outboard.

Thanks. Yes, I’ve been looking on BT as well as other sites, Craigslist, and even Facebook marketplace (even though I am banned).
