    Anyone in SoCal fishing offshore?

I'm out of Oside, but I think I may head south to Mexican waters. I'll keep an eye on reports and make a game day decision. I'll try to update this thread. My boat name is Pau Hana and I am usually on 68 or 72.

    Anyone in SoCal fishing offshore?

Well, it was a bust for us. We caught one bonita. We found the fish out by the 230 area, we trolled and long soaked , we just could not get them to go. They are not as active as last few years, a few single jumpers here and there but not the foamers we have seen in past years. A friend of...

    Anyone in SoCal fishing offshore?

Just pinging this group, anyone been fishing? I've made 3 trips on my boat this year, 1 rockfish and 2 tuna. Only bonita and rockfish to show for my efforts, no bluefin yet. I hope to get out this weekend, considering fishing below the border.

Water level - scuppers - new engine

Agree, these hoses can be a bear to remove. I ended up using a dremel to cut thru them.

    The New Adventure

Not saying I would not love a 228, but I fished pretty hard in 17 whaler, tuna, mahi and lots more. A lot to be said on the simplicity of smaller skiff to. But yeah, a 228 would be awesome. I agree, a new 218 is a pretty spendy boat. At that price, I'd be looking at other options.

    Battery terminal covers.

I have the same issue. As suggested, I use the battery box cover. I had to cut one cover down to make it fit, it works and I feel a little better about.

    More battery questions

Apologies if I was not clear, I have an ACR, I believe my batteries are wired in parallel, I have 1/2/both selector switch and currently have 2 dual purpose batteries. In my situation, I select 1 battery for the day, the ACR will charge both regardless. Based on the comments, I think I will...

    More battery questions

Hi all, I have a Yami 150 4 stroke, with 2 dual group 27 batteries and I also have a ACR. Unfortunately, no wiring diagram but they are wired in parallel. My gauges say the yamaha charges at 14.6. I run my bait tank and vhf all the time and run the motor 90% of the time while on the water.
