Replacing fuel tanks 1999 Grady 306 Bimini model

I forgot about stitching the lines together. Good suggestion:) I would also add that having two people work on the hoses can be helpful since one can pull and the other guide, route and push. I am not a fan of silicon spray. I would use dish soap or even better, electrical wire lubricant. It is...

Replacing fuel tanks 1999 Grady 306 Bimini model

It is critical to make sure that you do not use and rubber based products when mounting your tank. Neoprene is an option as are some plastic/fiberglass based products. Here is a good article on tank installation http://www.marinesurvey.com/yacht/fueltank.htm Installing new fill and vent lines...

Lewmar Pro Fish 700/1000 Windlass on a Marlin 300

To add to the chain size, make sure you get the correct 5/16 chain. Mantus has a good document on chain. https://www.mantusmarine.com/mantus-anchor-knowledgebase/rode-sizing/?v=28886f13f578

If you have a sample or can get measurements and profiles, you should be able to find replacement parts. Take a look at Taco Marine rub rails to get an idea of what info you need to gather for replacement parts.

    gel coat crack

Gel coat is pretty fragile and doesn't add strength. Your cracking is not spider cracking, a situation that is more cosmetic than structural. Your crack is a manifestation of underling flexing and/or movement. Your first step would be to try and see under and behind the crack to look for...

    Freedom 235 2021 - Starboard Battery Draining

It is highly doubtful that the stereo memory load would run down a good, charged battery. There is a chance that the radio was originally wired incorrectly though. To check that you need the installation manual and check that yours is wired correctly. Do you have a separate power amplifier? If...

    Freedom 235 2021 - Starboard Battery Draining

OP said "While he was installing the new battery as previously mentioned he noticed a spark at the breaker device mentioned. It leads me to believe there is still something perhaps that breaker that is drawing on that battery when the battery switch is off." A spark at the battery terminal when...

    Freedom 235 2021 - Starboard Battery Draining

The most effective approach is to measure amperage drain on one of the battery leads using an amprobe style clip on voltmeter. Measure current on positive wire and with all battery switches off. If your battery is draining over night, it is not a small drain like stereo memory. It could be an...

Problem with ProSportHD 20 battery charger

'Cooked' fuse holders were a common problem on that line of chargers. I believe that the current ( pardon the pun) models no longer have that problem

    2003 208 seats

I had a similar issue with a 2001 208. I needed to remove the slider assembly but the screws were 'welded' to the threaded inserts. The inserts ended up spinning and I eventually had to drill out the screws and install new stainless T-nuts BUT to do that, I had to make a larger hole in the seat...

    Side Shade Curtains -Mesh perhaps?

I would be concerned that the screens would reduce visibility. Perhaps a roll down/roll up inside option would be better.Pull down shades are common in sailboats. If your needs are just for anchoring, simple shade material with a binding edge and snaps would probably be simpler. You could try...

    Old yamaha gauge change out

I don't think that your engine has a N2K network interface. It uses a CAN bus. It can talk to N2K but requires a gateway. I may be wrong on the details but that is how my engines interface to N2K

    Freedom 235 Drain Plug Question

On brass plugs, I apply a few turns of tape. It make tightness easier to judge and more importantly, it makes it easier to pull the plug in the off season.

Engine Flush Adapter no longer sold by Grady

The legacy plumbing for plumbing is a real pain to use especially when, as mentioned, you have two motors close to each other. One of my previous boats had Mercs and the flush quickconnect flush fitting was on the back side middle of the engine. That was so much easier to work with.
