    another Prop help thread

I should note, that the current prop was from my previous 2 stroke motor. My dealer recommended a new prop and will suggest one, but i wanted to get opinions from the board as part of my research.

    another Prop help thread

Hi Dennis - compression and engine are fine, low hours and runs great. just took a look at the picture I took and I did NOT have the engine trimmed up correctly, it was showing 1 bar. Looks like I'll have to go back out and retest! Fully loaded, I had my boat loaded with 2 adults, full bait...

    another Prop help thread

Hi all, I have a GW Adventure 208 with a Yamaha F150 on it. Current prop is a 3 blade stainless steel 15 1/4 X 15, max RPM at full throttle is 5300 (this is with my boat fully loaded). Any suggestions to get me more RPM, closer to 6000 at full throttle? Thanks!

    Bilge Pumps

Seasick - 100% agree! I have 2 bilge pumps and a highwater alarm. 2nd pump is located a few inches higher in my bilge. I also have separate hoses and thru hulls, 1 for for each pump. I check both pumps before I leave the dock.

Great reminder! I keep my boat on a trailer, but that is a MUST pre launch checklist item for me.

    Deck drain 1999 Adventure 208

I replaced mine a few years back with what Seasick shared (or very similar). Access is very easy, no need to cut anything. I would also suggest you replace the hoses that go to the stern while you are back there. I think I used exhaust hoses that were reinforced with wire.

    204 Overnighter prop sizing

Hi - what diameter prop are you guys running? I have an adventure 208 with Yamaha F150 and am currently running a 15 1/4 X 15 Pitch SS prop. I top out at 5300 fully loaded and am looking to get more out of the motor. I may drop down to a smaller diameter prop.

    Gel coat repair 228G 1994

I have had good luck with Spectrum Gel Coat patch kits. I have used them on the Grady and previous Boston Whalers. As long as there is no damage to fiberglass below, it is a simple fix. Lots of videos on youtube. I found the color match to be pretty good, even on my 25 year old GW.

    1998 208 Fuel Tank

Grady Crazy - I have '99 208 - same opinion as enfish - a great, very capable 20 footer that feels and rides bigger. Great fuel economy, trailer-able and easy to maintain. I take multiple offshore trips each year and the boat is stable and comfortable.
