    2000 Adventure 208 is 150 HP enough???

Unfortunately, I don't have a better angle, but there is no list. Correct, no trim tabs either. I've gone back and forth on those and until I get a ride on a 208 with Tabs I wont add them (I dont know what I'm missing!)

    2000 Adventure 208 is 150 HP enough???

I dont disagree, more HP the better. But with the load I mentioned in my post, I don't struggle to get on plane at all. It could be faster for sure, but it is not a struggle with the 150. Again, the more hp the better, just sharing my experience. For reference -the location of my scuppers...

    2000 Adventure 208 is 150 HP enough???

Hi - I have the same boat, same year etc. I do not have a top on it. I originally had a yamaha 150 2 stroke and replaced with yamaha 150 4 stroke. More power would be nice, but I never feel like I don't have enough if that makes sense. I routinely make trips of 50--100 miles and the sea...

Gel Coat spider cracks - any thoughts

Any thoughts on the below gelcoat lines? Very thin, barely visible spider crack lines on the front strake of the boat. Anything to be concerned with? There is no visible fiberglass and no indication of impact. Boat is a 1999 vintage.

Yamaha 175 2stroke- Hard to start.

You should also check and possibly replace all fuel lines. The ethanol in fuel broke my fuel lines down and created havoc for an older motor I had. Motor ran like a top after they were sorted and carbs cleaned.

Winter cover for Adventure 208 (hard top and pulpit)

I have the same cover and get 2-3 years out of them. I dont get snow here and very little rain. I also, cover the sharp edges with carpet and put tennis balls in the rod holders. (I cut a hole in the tennis ball and put a 1 inch pvc pipe in it, stick it in the rod holder to avoid the sharp...

    Battery tender

I live in SoCal as well. I charge with 2 separate solar charges, 1 to each battery. It may be overkill, but I know my batteries are charged when I need them. I also try to use my boat every 2 weeks, but often more times goes by before I get that opportunity.

New Grady or Used Pursuit for First Time Boat Buyer/Owner

Agree with Mustang. Step on each boat, open the hatches, see how they are put together, finished or unfinished in hidden areas, do you have access to do maintenance, how do they fit you in terms of your family's needs, can you and your family move around comfortably etc.

What do you do with your rods while trailering?

No hard top on my boat. I just installed a bunch of rod holders on the railing. My boat looks like a porcupine out there.

What do you do with your rods while trailering?

Peter - I have definitely thought about that, but I just rather keep that area clean. Most times I have about 8-10 rods, once on the ramp they get put into rod holders and I am off. That works much better for, my rods may take a bit of beating though.
