    loose helm seats / 208 Adventure

    Both of my helm seats come loose on the pedestal. So bad that the port side fell off while underway with no one sitting on it. I think it may be the plastic piece that goes on between the seat bracket and shaft. Anyone else have this problem? I contacted GW they said I probably need a new seat...

    Thanks for the reply's I'm checking out a few hard tops this coming week, pipe dreams and boat towers, and GW welding, ballpark price with rocket launchers is about 3k. I'm going to check out the F200 inline 4 possibly take a ride to Delaware (no sales tax).

    I have a 1999 Adventure 208, looking for an after market hard top. Live in NJ and suggestions. Also might look to repower and heard that only used four stroke Yamaha that won't submerge the rear scuppers is the F150? The new in line four f200 and F175 would be ok but don't want to spend that...
