Does anyone know where I could find an original swim grid with bracks for my 1981 Weekender? Does anyone build these grids? I don't realy need a swim grid but I need something to hang my dingy davits from. Is there any other way to manage my dingy other than towing? I have a livingston...

    Checked out the new gradies

Thanks guys So they never produced a 30 footer with inboard engines. I guess a 27 will do, I have a 25 foot weekender with nothing but a bed in the cabin. I would like to stick with the best and how can you do better than a Grady.

    Checked out the new gradies

Went to the Vancouver Boat show on the weekend and got to walk through all the new Gradies. Can you say sticker shock!! My wife and I would like to upgrade to a 30 footer for a few more creature comforts. Getting old sucks. Here is my question: What was the last year Grady produced...

    Vancouver B.C. Canada owners

Welcome to Great Grady I live in Squamish and own an 81 Weekender. I use it mainly for visting the gulf islands and the sunshine coast or a quick jont to keats or gibsons. Haven't heard of any get togethers up here in the great white northwest. Better to join a good yacht club. See you on...

What model Grady White do you own?

I have a 1981 Weekender. I spent last year replacing everything. New power with a Mercruiser 7.4 MPI sterndrive Bravo I. Built my own dash out of aluminuim with a new throttle control. Replaced or refinished all the woodwork. Replaced all the wiring, plumbing, thru hulls, fuel tank, deck anti...

    heated cuddy

I agree with Brian I don't know why you guys keep buying these Grady's with drink mixers hanging off them. Thats why I own an older Grady with a stern drive. Cabin heat is never a problem just run a little hot water up from the engine.

    226 New to GW family

Wet foam I own an 81 Weekender and I found the biggest problem with the foam was that over time the foam would get wet and have no way to dry out. I found condensation would get trapped in these areas with no way out. I installed extra inspection ports so when I wasn't using the boat and it was...

Hatch cover for Aux Fuel Tank

Hatch door My Grady is older then yours but when I had my boat in for some fiberglass work I had them build a door over my aux fuel hole. I ended up with a two foot by two foot hatch door with a gutter on the inside. In the rear corner of the gutter they installed a scupper with a drain hose...

1988 Overnighter dash rebuild and bulkhead replacement

Replacing dash I did a complete refit of my 81 weekender last winter and my dash was beyond repair. I covered it all with a sheet of 3/16 aluminum. After cutting holes out for all my guages, helm, throttle, and switches I had the aluminum anodized flat black and had the switch labels silk...

    What Did You Use ...

Rubber shouldn,t be used The problem isn't so much that you are using rubber it is the direction the rubber strips are laid in. The rubber strips should run bow to stern. When I replaced my tank last winter I used 2 pieces of 3/4 inch puck board running bow to stern making sure I left plenty of...

Question regarding buying a Grady White

If you get it for free you have paid too much. Take it from someone who has just spent a year gutting and repairing years of neglect on my 81 weekender.

I replaced all wiring, plumbing, and repowered with a 7.4 litre MPI Mercriuser with a Bravo I Leg. I replaced the fuel tank, and all the wood working encluding the bulkhead...

What model Grady White do you own?

Grady White Owner I bought a 24 foot Weekender November of 2006. The hull is 1981, I replaced everything else. New power, plumbing, electrical, fuel tank, helm, and woodwork. This took me the better part of nine months. I had a fiberglasser redo the nonskid on the deck between the transom and...

Aftermarket deck hatch in 248 ??

New hatch door over reserve fuel tank hole I had my deck redone last winter on my 1981 24 Weekender. While my fiberglasser was at it I had him build a hatch door into the floor. The biggest hassel was finding a mold to form the gutter under the door. I am no good at fiberglassing but I no how...
