Had a 90’s 23 w an outdrive and a 250 SW series 2 banger. With the wider beam boat was sluggish when in rough seas 4-6’ it was hard to stay on top w one motor. my advise would be to go w twins. Also don’t expect ti have any control w a single screw in reverse on a bracket.

I agree looks aftermarket open the panel and follow the wires. I found many 1/2 way done or vacant wiring from 2 previous owners on my 04 marlin. Pulled out everything that went nowhere

All the things mentioned esp VST are good to check along w measuring pressure on the rail. Also pull your injectors and have them cleaned by a pro they can print out performance before/after mine was down 30% on a few.

Had a hot short in my 23 Gulfstream perko It was set to off and while winterizing the motor my wrench hit the starter power and blew up the ecm. Replace the selector with a Blueseas switch screw holes may not line up but they make a much better product.

Before you dig into the display side remove the connector at the sender and short the 2 pins if the gauge reads full then you'll know the display is fine and the sender needs to be replaced. BTW you have to turn on your water pressure switch to supply power to the tank indicator.

Are you talking about the new CL5 display? I have one hooked to a MEC F150 via NEMA 2k cable to yami white 4 pin plug at the front. It's not CLP but was able add both a water pressure and Speed sensor to the motor and get it to display. To change one of the read outs just press and hold on one...

Take the small angled starboard off where the panel wall meets the ceiling its pain to reach but u can unthread the large back nut that holds the gauge to the wall. I could not get to the connector but there was enough wire to pull it out from the wall.

I had a 232 with a single 250 it was underpowered esp in rough seas trying to stay on top of the waves go w 200’s if you can find/afford them they weigh the same as 150’s and you wont have to run as high rpms for same speed
