265 not so fresh water tank

You hit it on the head with the good turnover comment. Once you get the stink out, keep using it… best way to keep it fresh.

    New Seadek - Marlin

I used to be a naysayer because i bought into the dopey nonsense I read on some forums. Then I actually saw a boat with it and I was sold instantly. I'm going into season 3 with mine and I love it. feels so good to walk on it barefoot. And lets face it, it's easier to keep a little dirty-...

265 not so fresh water tank

There is no need to drink water on a boat this size. It's not like you will be taking weeks long extended trips with no access to land. flush the tank as good as you can to a level of "i'm ok washing may hands in it." Yanking the tank seems extreme. Mine is 20 years old and I get so it...

    Cockpit Access Door Mods

Do a search on here. This isn’t the only the thread on this. The consensus was time better spent improving what you have. i have an ‘04. I clear siliconed the joint between the horizontal part and the cockpit floor. After it dried I pulled it up and enough stayed that it’s like I put a...

Is it time for a Grady transom "sticky"?

No denying the issue… but IS it an issue or WAS it an issue? Was it model dependent? The ones I've read about are boats from the 90's. are all the 2000's marlins/sailfish, etc suspect?

    Installing a boat table

I was thinking in the cockpit on mine. I want a table out there but I'd rather not do a floor mount because I have seadek and i'd have to cut it. question, on a 330 express, there are multiple inspection ports running down the centerline of the cockpit floor. would a floor mounted table...

    mystery water

If you are on the hard, go out there at night and have someone shine a light from outside all under the cap and vents, where pulpit attaches, anywhere you can think of. If you are inside you may be able to find it. If it only comes in when running the boat, I'd guess its coming in above water...

    265 rear bench seat options/ideas

I added a side folding bench on my 330. It could easily adapt to the rear of a 265 like the earlier pics shown in this thread. I got it from elevation marine. comes in a few different lengths too. color and pattern nearly indentical to factory grady. Elevation Marine Folding Bench

    330 with Verado 300/v8 question.

I'm still playing with engine height but I'm WOT 42.5mph, fast cruise 4900 @35mph at 1mpg, slow cruise (slow for me) 4500 @31mph, 1.2/1.3mpg. I have verados with 1.85 lower units. I'm running 17p enertia ecos, engines mounted at the very highest position. oceandansar gets better numbers with...

Repower for our 2001 Express 275

merc v8 250 is also pretty light, not much more than your current 3.3L yamahas. If the boat is rated for 500hp, those engines would make it very fun. Lots of torque. you'd also gain some transom room. tall and skinny engines vs. the 3.3. I just replaced 3.3L 225 yam four strokes with 300...

Pulling the trigger on a pilot house on the 228

wow that looks great! I'd love to fully enclose my 330 like that. can't stand the canvas and can't afford 500k for a newer one that has the full enclosure already lol

    Marine decking questions

I had installed on my 330 express and have 2 full seasons on it. I use the salt water washdown to hose off fish blood as it happens. I’d do that with regular nonskid anyway. With that said, if find it easy to clean. Most stains come out with a standard garden hose nozzle. I did the storm...

    Yamaha new outboard

I’m underwhelmed by the fact it’s not a v8 as I think a lightweight small displacement 8 cylinder provides a ton of grunt and good economy in this siclass … but the f300 is pretty legendary and if this new engine is similar, then it will make a lot of 330 express owners happy when it’s repower...
