I just realized that the motor is a 30 inch shaft. Would a jack plate work for this application to get it to the desired 25 inch?

With that being said, would you have issues with putting a 250hp? I believe the 225 saltwater series used to weigh about 540 pounds. The Suzuki 250 weighs approximately 590 pounds. Is this enough to cause issues?? I appreciate the help.
